the playoff?

Not if Wisconsin and Clemson win out. If Ohio State beats Wisconsin, it will be between Ohio State and bama. Ohio State would be big 10 champs with 2 top ten wins... bama would have 0 top 10 wins

I don’t think so. I think it’ll be the champion of SEC, B1G, ACC, Big 12.

Depends on how close this game is. Gonna be tough but osu getting blown out by unranked Iowa hurts them imo

It depends on what you?re looking at. Some people consider bad losses huge

Also why I said it would be tough never discount bama in anything though lol

I think, among the one-loss teams, the committee will consider the quality of the loss as tie-breaker.

Ohio State has a very good loss and a bad loss. Their wins are so much better than bama though

I think a 1-loss Bama needs Clemson to win out b/c if Miami beats Clemson to win the ACC, Clemson will get the nod over both Bama and Ohio State as the 4th playoff team as Clemson does have a win against Auby (who beat Bama).

msstate7

Bama has faced 1 top 10 team and is getting punished. Ohio st will have faced 3 top ten teams and have 2 wins (assuming they win big 10).

Auburn about to make it a moot point. They win by 10+ it is over for bama for sure

The committee is using a formula similar to the BCS rankings.

If you can’t win your division or conference you shouldn’t be in.

Think we starting to see age catch up to saban. They have not looked very good vs ranked teams this year. Sure they beat the first 2, but they are not bama-like. They are 22nd in recruiting with early signing period fast approaching

it depends to some degree on the final scores, wisky wins big and they are in. If bama closes strong they may have a chance.

they have a better passing game and a very stiff defense. #9 is back in the game, not great.

Hard to beat a team twice in a season especially with no rbs. Uga be ready and the game is in Georgia

I and most of the country are sick of bama. I don't care if they are SEC, I predict and hope that do not make the playoffs. We exposed them in a loss that we should have won, but went conservative after the missed FG (as usual). Hail State!

Bammer is (almost) dead.

Needed Michigan to win. Needed to have a close Iron Bowl. Neither happened.

Muschamp is the only hope.

Alright so after that my final 4 prediction is: (With a little SEC bias)

1. Oklahoma
2. Wisconsin
3. Auburn
4. Alabama

South Carolina beats Clemson tonight eliminating them from the playoffs but then they'll beat Miami next week, eliminating them from the playoffs and Bama sneaks in that 4 seed

I disagree. I think the top 4 teams should get in as long as resumes are close. It's not #2 in the SEC's fault that #1 is the best team in the country (this is an example and could be used for other conferences on given years). If #2-4 in the country are in a conference where a higher team is also in their conference, they shouldn't be penalized that they play in that team's same conference.

Saying all that, Bama has no business in the playoff this year. They are just not as good with their injuries, and they haven't beaten anyone.

Also, it's baffling to me that they won't go to an 8 team playoff.

Daddio...

1) I'm too dang old to think my level of passion has any influence, anymore...
2) Even with ridiculous depth, the amount of injuries may be insurmountable... plus, AU is smoking hot, right now... on fire.
3) I'd be the supreme dickhead if I complained given the last several years...

I kinda think Clemson (SC, Miami), OK (TCU) and Aubie (UGA) will get in....

I hope Bammer can squeak past a B1G Champ OSU (Wisky)....

That's a fair question. Here's my stance on it. The winner of Clemson-Miami is in. Oklahoma, assuming they beat TCU, is in. Winner of Georgia-Auburn is in. That leaves one spot. I just don't think that Bama has beaten anyone worthy of being ranked ahead of a conference winner. As referenced to your question above, I think wins should be weighted heavier than losses.

So I say Clemson, OU, Georgia/Auburn and then winner of OSU/Wisconsin. I know OSU has two losses if they win, and one is bad, but they will have 2 top 10 wins along with winning their conference championship. And honestly, I don't think Bama would be able to beat any of those teams right now with their defensive injuries.

1. Clemson
2. OU
3. Auburn
4. UGA
5. OSU
6. Bama
7. Wisconsin
8. Miami

That's my rankings currently.

With AU's running back situation, I wouldn't be surprised to see GA win the SEC. A neutral field will also aid GA this go around. AU and AL may both miss the playoffs.

They have a good passing game because you must respect their running game. That was before Saturday.
