Let's say Wisky and Oklahoma win out to get 2 spots
Miami has to play Clemson- Miami wins and they are in- Clemson wins and they are in.

What if Auburn beats Bama and then Georgia again?

Can you take 2 loss Auburn over a 2 loss Clemson- who beat them? 2 loss Auburn over 1 loss Miami? What about 1 loss Bama getting the 4th spot? Do you take 2 ACC teams and leave the SEC out?

Chaos could be a-brewin

This might be the year that pushes this thing to 8 teams if that happens. I actually think at this current moment there are at least 7 teams that are legitimate. Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Miami, Auburn, Wisconsin, and Georgia (Even though the got rolled by Auburn they are still a Top 5 caliber team). And if you ran 100 simulations of these teams, I could see all 7 of them winning a title.

Gonna be very interesting to see how this all shakes out. Almost every year it works itself out. This year the water is starting off much muddier than it usually does at this point.

You can make the argument though that we already have an 10 team playoff - add in the SEC, P12, B1G, ACC, and Big12 Championships. Those games should narrow the field, but we have 1 too many conferences. What they should do is recognize the Conference Championship games as winner take all (maintains the relevance of conference play) and add a play-in game with the lowest rated P5 conference champion and the highest rated G5 champ. Play it the 2nd weekend in December at the G5 school, then the winner gets the playoff spot.

This year, the Pac12 Champ would go to UCF to play for the 4th seed.

That would be a travesty. A two loss team doesn't deserve a spot over a 1 loss or undefeated team. If Auburn wanted a playoff spot they shouldn't have shit the bed against LSU.

Not over an undefeated team. But a team with a win over an 11 win Bama team, two wins over an 11 win UGA team, a blowout win over a 9-3 MSU team, with a loss to a top 4 team on the road and a 9 or 8 win LSU in death valley? That's a pretty strong resume. If Miami ends up at 11-1, they'll have a good win at home against Notre Dame, and a good win at home against a Va Tech. THat's pretty much it, I think. Doesn't sniff Auburn's resume. And even if it did, then the right 11-1 team jump auburn would be Alabama, not Miami.

If Auburn wins out, Auburn will get in as a ?conference champion ?.

Also, Because AU will travel more fans than Miami.

Who will get screwed in that scenario is Alabama. Because I think Alabama would whip Miami and Oklahoma and Wisconsin.

I think the committee don't give a shit what any one thinks. I think they are going to put the four best teams in their opinion in the playoff regardless at record and who beat who.

Yeah, because an OKlahoma State team was much more deserving than BAMA after losing to Iowa State. BAMA proved they belonged in that game by dominating it to the tune of 21-0.

Only if cage is minimum 10’ tall. 12 is better.

Miles getting screwed in 2011 out of a NC ended up ruining his career. Never recovered. Can't blame him tho when the system is rigged

It's definitely rigged. I hope they screw Bama this year, it would be glorious!

The BCS's stated goal was to "match the 2 best teams" in the BCSCG... Now, if ya wanna argue that the BCS Committee should have considered rematches and conference championships, that's another discussion... But to say that Bammer wasn't one of the two best teams in 2011 is borderline "Ole Miss type" delusion....

7SU won (a lot of games) "in spite of" Miles, not "because of"...

I will give him credit for saying he'd "be honored" to play Alabama again after the GOTC.... That was classy...
