OT- Memphis eats [Archive]

Gonna be in Memphis tonight. What's everyone's favorite places to eat around Memphis. Here's what I'm looking at ... nothing too fancy as the kids will be with us... also I'm not worried abt the drinks as we won't be drinking... prefer not to eat in downtown as again, I'll have the kids with me. Recommendations?

If you like Italian we have always liked Grisanti's in the Embassy Suites. It's kid friendly. Its not trendy or the hot new place, but it's been around a long time and what they do they do well.

Central BBQ for ribs, nachos, or wings. Memphis BBQ in Southaven if you want to stay away from downtown.

Huey's for a burger

Memphis Pizza Cafe for pizza.

Both have several locations, are not fancy, are kid friendly and really good.

Is the Germantown Commisary still open. They use to have some great steaks!

The Commissary is mainly bbq. Gus's on Mendenhall, Butcher shop on Germantown Parkway, or Houston's on Poplar all have good food and is kid friendly.

Como Steakhouse in Como is worth the drive. They are not cheap though. Texas Roadhouse in Southaven is pretty good for a less expensive option.

Memphis BBQ Company in Horn Lake. Right by interstate. Best in the area.

I've eaten at como many times. Hands down best steak in mississippi. We gonna eat there on the way home Tmr night.
