I bet Chip Kelly goes to UCLA.

Can blend in in LA and doesn’t have to glad hand with the same pressure as an SEC program.

Will have a domino effect though that starts with Florida and will work it’s way all the way down to Ole Miss

Should also make A&M think twice about firing Sumlin unless they are 100% sure Fisher will take the job.

Can get a better coach next year while Sumlin wins 8-9 games in 2018.

Wasn't expecting that. Think he'd consider moving "up" to Oxford?

Chip knows that area of the country he's gotta be interested.

UCLA isn’t a premier job. They’re behind USC in their state and arguably Stanford at this point. Kelly isn’t going there.

Correct on your points, but I think he would go there.

Watch out for Sumlin as well going there.

UCLA is a very tough job.

If many more jobs come open, C34 may get a call.

Are there enough viable candidates to fill all these jobs?

Some teams are going to fire a better coach than they hire

Sumlin may hold on anyway if they beat LSu

Petrino to UCLA. Man think of all the blondes out there.

Sumlin will throw his name in. If Chip takes it, he doesn’t care about winning nattys.

Unless they can get Fisher, I just don’t see how they upgrade this year.

I like how OM is claiming Taggert is their guy.

Sumlin could also be throwing his name in to create leverage with A&M. Same thing Malzahn could be doing with Ark

Morris is who A&M wants.

SDS is saying they offered it to him. Same article also says he already declined.

If TAMU fires Sumlin I have a feeling they are going to be really upset with what they end up with as a head coach. If you want a good up and coming coach there are going to be a ton of vacancies out there.

UCLA, Florida, Tennessee are already open jobs. Then you have Arkansas that's probably going to make a move next week after they lose to Missouri. Still got the chance that some other jobs open up. Gonna be a lot of rebuilds at decent programs open to coaches, but not enough for them all to snag really good head coaches.

Is he an upgrade over Sumlin?

Debatable. Seems like the exact same guy to me.

A&M wants Sumlin gone and Sumlin wants out. He’s going to go after a job.

Hey, that’s A&M. They’re different.

I dont see how anyone could think UCLA is not a better job than Oregon, and he won his division every year at Oregon.

UCLA is second fiddle in it's own city.

UCLA is second fiddle in it's own city.

Sure, now. But, like I said last week, If he can get Cali and TX kids to Oregon he can get them to LA.

They will always be second fiddle in LA, even when they are better. Kelly didn't have to deal with that either n Oregon.

Brohm is a stud. I used to watch all the western Kentucky games when he was there. Dude can coach. He would win big at uf with all that speed and athletes in state

I would have to say Yeah

If I weren?t Southern, did not need the money, and knew the west coast well... I would not bother with an SEC job. Chip at UCLA could almost be unfair. Chip at Florida is just masochism.

Sumlin was never a good fit at A&M. They are not progressive enough for a black coach there. Then he lifted their expectations too high too fast with Manziel. The November collapses didn?t help at all. Sumlin needs to get out before he is put out. Unfortunately there are not that many great landing spots. Arky would be a worse version of A&M. I don?t see anyone else being willing to touch him. Sumlin to Florida might actually work if they don?t get Chip.

Nike got them to Oregon not Chip Kelly.

Between 2008 and 2012, Oregon recruiting classes were ranked between 34 and 12. Average around 23, but played like a top-5 team ever year.

TAM and Texas far out-recruited Oregon in that time frame. Even UCLA had slightly higher ranked classes
