You remember them the team that dismantled Texas 40-21, yes the same Texas that Ole miss beat 44-23, is getting beaten by MIddle Tennessee 10-7. Yes it's early in the game.

man, I see what you're trying to do, but this is so far down the line it's hard to see the relevance. This has no bearing on how good Ole Miss is.

If you were referring to me, really don't know because my phone doesn't display the replies correctly. I really wasn't making a statement as to how "good" OM is. It was more of a MTSU is hanging with them even though we KNOW their DC is garbage and their players are overmatched.

Are things so bad here that we are now cheering for opponents of our opponent's opponents?

^ Apparently.

Chained up dawg, I was just speaking on the thread in general. You can't use a game that's 3 degrees of separation away from a team to support how good or bad that team is.

Actually, if a team like MTSU can, for the most part hang with a team that routed TX on the same field, it does help gauge where that TX team is. Thereby giving a gauge of where OM is as well. This early in the season, about the only way to tell where teams are is to look at how the teams they beat or lose to fair against other competition and to look at how that other competition fairs as well. I know its a stretch and knew it was when I posted it. All I'm saying is it does help to gauge these teams based on opponents performance, more so this early.
