He?s johnny football 2.0

He may be & he plays for a team that has more talent than anyone in his conference. Meaning, he's not as refined as you think he is.

I do not agree. Baker is a much, much better passer.

Maybe it?s hard to tell against the defenses he?s playing against. But I?m more referring to his mentality. Very very immature.

No JFF was an alcoholic and a druggie that wanted to be Drake. Mayfield just has a temper and he talks shit to the opponent/fans. Kansas deserved some shit talking.

Sure I would, depending on the round. Would I draft him #1 overall? No I would not. Would I draft him if he was available late in the 7th round? He would be a steal.

No. He's got on the field physical limitations and off the field dedication issues.

You must've hated Favre. I like Baker. He plays the game with passion, which I like. There was a back story to this when they met at the Captain's meeting, Baker put his hand out and none of the captains shook his hand.

No. Seriously, who was the last big 12 qb to be a legit NFL QB. Only one is Bradford, and he’s been average.

Did you miss him shredding Ohio state this year and auburn last season? Do not live in an sec bubble... the kid can play, mature or not

So if you needed a young QB (Bills, Browns, patriots, saints), you wouldn't consider Mayfield if he was available in the 7th round?

He will not be there. He has moved up big time... first round even

I don't trust his skill set. Oklahoma is known for producing overhyped QBs.

As far as his temper he reminds me of Phillip Rivers. He is a punk who will never win big because he comes up short in the big moments. I'll pass.

It could certainly be the case. Picking qbs is not easy. I really like mayfield though

Phillips rivers is a pretty dang successful nfl qb. I?m sure baker would take phillip?s career right now

Ryan Tannehill has been pretty good. RG3 was NFL ROY before his career was derailed by injuries.

McShay now has Mayfield as the #28 overall pick.

(Also Martinas Rankin at #31.)

Manziel had the physical skillset to be a NFL QB (probably never a great one, but good enough to still be starting for the Browns). He was too much of a head case and addict to ever live up to his potential.

I don't think Baker Mayfield has comparable mental issues.

Phillip Rivers is a successful regular season QB. He puts up big stat but he has never been able to push his team over the top. I call him a punk because he blames his teammates when things go south instead of being a real leader. That’s why the Chargers are an afterthought in the NFL instead of a contender.

I cannot stand Rivers, but he has been a good qb

Yes. And while I wouldn't have drafted Manziel in the first round, I would have jumped on him in the 4th round because the gamble would have been worth it. People on this board unwilling to draft Mayfield in a 7 round draft are crazy.

Whatever problems you have in life, money & fame make them bigger.

If you have a drinking & drug problem, then fame & money make you a bigger alcoholic & druggie.

The key to deciphering Baker Mayfield is digging on his personal life to figure out if he is just an ultra competitive ass-hole or if he has real issues in his personal life.

The public intoxication in Fayetteville over the Summer is a good place to start. Whether or not he will be successful in regards to his makeup, are questions that us as casual fans simply cannot answer.

As an organization, you have to figure out "who he really is"

For example: teams that downgraded Dak because of the his DUI did a poor job of finding out who Dak really was. Dak's DUI was out of character for him.

That's what people have to answer about Baker

That league makes Rudolph look like a star and he sucks. The kid from TT last year couldn?t beat out a very average NFL QB. RG3 sucked. It?s the league they play in and it’s down.

You holding it against mahomes for not beating our Alex Smith? Smith was 10th in qbr last season and 7th this season. Also, the chiefs are almost certainly letting smith walk this season in favor of mahomes
