Any one know what the best way to reattach the "ringer" or whatever that is attached inside the bell? Mine flew off Saturday and I'd like to fix it. I don't have the piece that flew off. I thought about getting a fishing weight or something of that nature.

A fishing weight is lead isn't it? I'd think that would just make a "clunk". Might want to use something like a steel nut attached with a heavy wire.

I need to get my back to its original shape, sending our safety to blitz on 3rd and 15.

I'm pretty sure the guy behind me busted his bell on the seat after that play.

I have bought four over 40 years because of the digger coming out. I put it on the shelf as a souvenir and get a new one. Unless it is a very expensive one I wouldn't worry about it.

I would suggest a battle bell if you can swing it. But I will tell you, it's much louder and you will become self conscience about it bothering other people's hearing. Just FYI.

I have the Battle Bell, but I'm too afraid to take it and lose it. Plus its loud as shit and after Saturday night my ears are still ringing, I hate to imagine how they would be if I was using my Battle Bell.

Lost my clapper from my original bell in 1974 in Jackson Memorial, still got the bell. I hope that clapper didn't hit somebody in the head, concussion protocol.

My clapper has flown out from upper decks twice - '99 Peach Bowl and '10 Gator Bowl. I always worried about it hitting some someone in the head. At the '14 AU game, I launched it from a North end Zone box into the student section, I figured whoever it hit was feeling bullet proof, so it didn't matter.

I've had my clacker or whatever you want to call it fly off twice. Both times I found it and repaired it. Last season, the side of the bell split open. I got someone to put a piece of metal over it and weld it back together. Sounds different but still works.

I figure I've got a few more seasons with it before it has to be officially retired.

mine broke Saturday and i bought 3 from these people because the shipping was almost $6. If you're in the Jackson area and need a clapper, let me know.

Our HS is in the playoffs, and they ordered a bunch of these dinky cheap hand held bells to ring at the game last week.
Sounded like people jingling their car keys in the stands.

I'm taking my bell this week so they can hear what a real artificial noisemaker sounds like. I'm sure I'll piss some people off.

Replaced my clapper in 1988 with a couple of these chain repair links... No issues since.

I was worried you wanted it sharpened "dagger sharp" after reading the warnings from OM!

Meridian stabbing is not necessary, blunt force trauma works well.
