Proud of the boys and the coaches. Yes we missed opportunities and execution and coaching missed a couple of calls but that happens every game. Taking the most talented team in the country down to the wire for the first time from start to finish was a pleasure to watch. Even coming up short but they laid it on the field tonight for 4 quarters.

ETA. Missed step out of bounds in the first half and our TE not getting a PI called when getting handled as bad as Rayford on his PI didn't help us.

I'm proud of the way the team played tonight. It stings to lose like that, but I don't have any gripes about Mullen, Fitz, or the secondary.

A few misses here and there at critical times cost us, but this type of game is how you earn respect from those outside the school!

It wasn't play calling, it wasn't the crowd, they executed when it counted, we didn't. It sucks but that IS what it was. Had we executed in the first half, Bama is playing from two scores down most of the game. Hell of a game, against the REAL #1. The farce that was the CFP is over now, esp since the perpetually overrated ND got skull drug.

Mullen coached a hell of a game for 3.5 quarters, then shit the bed on the end game.

He had a brilliant gameplan for three quarters. That fourth quarter was shit start to finish from not rushing Aeris Williams twice at the twelve, to punting it on fourth and four, to whatever it was he was trying to do with a minute or so left where he couldn’t figure out whether he was playing for overtime or to get in position to win the game. He went away from what was working and that is the big reason we lost. You have to put a team away like Alabama. You can’t play like we did in the fourth and expect to win.
