Flame away, but they finished 9-4 and ranked each of the last two years, and if they beat Mizzou and Vandy, 2015-17 will be Tennessee's best 3-year stretch since 2002-04.

Butch Jones has been successful at every stop in his career, including his current job.

Just depends on if they have a clear upgrade lined up. Likely not the case, so I tend to agree with you. Their problem is that they think they can recruit like it's the 90s and before - jump in a plane and recruit nationally and pimp their awesome stadium. Thing is that everyone does that or can do that and has nice facilities. They don't stand out any longer. Times have changed .

He just burned a freshman QBs redshirt for 3 plays vs USM in game 9. He’s an idiot.

I took that move as him holding up double birds as he walked out the door.

I completely agree that if Jones could weather the storm of the mid season losses, then finish strong with their weak backhalf of the schedule. He could survive the season. However the perceived bungling of the QB situation, starting And then pulling Dormandy, burning the freshmans redshirt....is going to be the focus of the fans.

Maybe they win out and their administration can hold off the natives.

Apparently he really likes that QB, and if he does go, I wouldn't be surprised to see that kid transfer with him and use his RS year to sit out.

He probably should theoretically, but he's not the answer for them, we all know this. Good coach, yes.

Many people expected them to struggle this year due to youth. Not sure why it's so surprising when they did.
