To be fair, he is saying that members of the COI will actually honor their obligation to maintain confidentiality. That seems pretty reasonable to me. It's not like he was claiming that UM would suddenly start respecting confidentiality.

He also managed to interject that he'd only been there 4 months when all the charges started coming. That's a backdoor method of saying he wasn't responsible for any of it (and he may be right about that).

He could have an argument if they hadn't continued cheating after he got there and not even slowing down through the NCAA investigation.
