What info was hidden for OM to settle with Nutt?

I guess we've all heard different rumor of why OM suddenly decided to admit their lying scheme and settle with Houston Dale Nutt. Its got to be something very serious that OM wanted to keep from the public, or they would have never settled as quickly as they did. Your thoughts?

I just think upper management finally stepped in and said “hey, dumb****s, settle! Also, Bjork, you need to start looking for a new job after we hire a new head football coach”. Or something like that.
