Can anyone give any info on Rokose, Tanner, or Hearn?

Ethan Hearn is a really good catcher prospect from Mobile. He was invited to the Team USA U17 trials.
Logan Tanner is one of the top prospects in Mississippi and he's a BIG dude that's pretty well put together. He's a pitcher and catcher and his fast reportedly tops out at 94. We're going to let him pitch and hit. He plays at George County and has been starting for them since at least his sophomore year at a 6A school.
Davis Rokose is a LHP that plays on the same summer team as Tanner and he's from Stone Mountain Georgia. He's only 5'11" and his fastball right now tops out at 88 but his mechanics are very clean and he has good command. I like him- I think he will be a good pitcher and it looks like he has room to grow and develop.

Thanks, Todd. Looks like 2019 will be a very good class as well.

I think I saw on Twitter where Perfect Game has our 2019 class ranked 7th in the country at the moment and this years class in the top five.

Todd, you probably read the same thing that I did about Rokose. It sounds like he has really good command of three pitches. He has time to grow a little and by the time he is ready to pitch in college, you have to figure he will be able to stay in the 88-90 mph range for an extended period. If his command is as good as being said, that is enough velocity for a lefty to succeed.

Absolutely. I think he will add velocity as he fills out and being in a SEC weight program will help him develop. I think he's still 16 so he has plenty of time to grow.
We are certainly bringing in some catchers over the next few years. Luke Hancock and Hayden Jones will be coming in next year. The 2019 class has Austin Kelly, Ethan Hearn, and Logan Tanner. The 2020 class has Gehrig Ebel.

I don't think you can over estimate the importance of a good catcher that has the ability to bring out the best in his pitchers. I've always liked tough and smart catchers that take on a leadership role of his team.
