Only one poll that matters and it will not be release for a few more weeks. Enough time for LSU to lose and time for us to get a few more wins.

It wouldn?t matter - we haven?t earned the benefit of the doubt. The media will see LSU losing to us and Troy as a fluke instead of the win against Auburn as the fluke.

In all honesty, if not for Mullen's braindead playcalling right before half against Georgia, and the phantom whistle vs. Auburn, we probably lose both those games 24-10. Not to mention playing on the road is worth about a 10 point swing nowadays IMO.

Bottom line those polls are BS

All you have to do is look at who beat these 4 top 10 teams this weekend to realize how accurate the pollsters are. It only matters how you finish.

It makes all the sense in the world.** LSU has lost to two unranked teams, and we've lost to the 3rd ranked and another top 20 team. Of course we lost our games with style, but as I recall we pretty much pummeled LSU.

No one should be mad at this. They beat Auburn ranked #10 and beat UF on the road as #25. This scenario is exactly why we have very little respect.

Would you rather beat a Top 15 team and lose to a South Alabama or vice versa? We always want to beat the USA teams. Teams with respect win those ranked games on a semi consistent basis. We don't. We had one good year for that and haven't capitalized since really. If we beat one team that finished ranked per year there would be a totally different perspective about our program.

I?m not saying we should be ranked but there is no rational explanation for LSU to be ranked and us not.

No- thats an OM stat. We have beaten 1 ranked team correct?

I think we should be ranked ahead of LSU also- but they did have have 3-4 starters missing when we played. Thats a big deal.

Most polls are a popularity vote. The media darlings are protected and given favorable rankings. If this doesn't hold true, then why did Clemson only fall 5 spots to 7th after losing to an unranked team. There are other 1 loss teams that don't get that kind of "Love".

Kentucky isn't ranked either and they are 5-1. They did lose to Florida, which isn't good at all, on their home field. Also Ky hasn't looked good playing the easy schedule they have had. Hope they don't put it all together this Saturday.

So they get credit for what a team is ranked when they played them, but yet when we discuss State its always what they are ranked now...

Only Mississippi State fans could complain that we aren't ranked when we get embarrassed in prime time two weeks in a row.

Who cares anyway? Rankings only matter one time all season - at the end. If we beat Kentucky, we'll likely be ranked again. We are 32/33 and they are 26/30.

I don?t see anyone saying we should be ranked - only saying LSU shouldn?t be ranked ahead of us. I would rather see LSU fans argue with us about this than MSU fans. But you?re right, it?s no big deal.
Once we beat Bama the rankings will take care of themselves.******
