He's an UA AA it's going to be hard to keep him quiet.

That ball jumped off his foot. Plenty of power. Notice how he gave the credit to his snapper and holder for allowing him to make that kick.

I think Auburn is going to be looking for a kicker. Isn't their ace kicker a senior?

They signed a Top 5 UA AA kicker last year.

Hard to tell since the video was so small, but it looked like he approached and kicked the ball straight-on, the old fashioned way, rather than the soccer style that everybody does now.

I?m sure Bama needs a 3rd sting kicker. Or maybe they?ll process the guy they flipped from us last year.

I went to State during the Croom era. Give me all the kickers!! I still remember that night we lost 3-2. I was sitting in the student section.....I slammed my cowbell so hard it cracked that night.

And you probably remember the guy for the Saints who held the record for many years at 60-something yards. Only had half a foot on his kicking leg, with a special shoe with a wide flat front. That would probably not be allowed now (nor should it be).

I didn't go to school during the Croom era but I was sitting on a back patio in Bluff Park with a handful of BE's and none of us were happy that night.

Oh yeah, Tom Dempsey. Remember him well. Could kick em a long way but his accuracy sucked. Think he finished at just over 50% on career attempts made.

Really Clark?

Over 61% and for his era of kickers that was really good. I think the best kicker percentage wise who kicked in the 60's and 70's was at 67%. Hall of Famer Jan Stenerud was 66.846% for his career.

Amazing how far kicking has come. I?m glad none of those guys kicked for us with those percentages. This board would have killed them lol

Nothing under 100% is acceptable ... even if your name is Jan Stenerud. :)

That seems to be the prevailing theory lol
