It's the Ole Miss way. The last coach was terrible and then they completely burn every bridge with that coach. The new coach is the next best thing that is going to return Ole Miss to glory and is going to bring in 'cruits. After that coach wins a couple of years and then spectacularly flames out because what they were doing wasn't sustainable, then they turn on that coach like they did the last one. Rinse. Repeat.

It's one of many reasons why their model isn't sustainable. They want and expect instant sustained success....and they expect to have top 10 recruiting classes with all of the bells and whistles including hat flips and Merry Flipmas. They simply aren't willing to do things the right way- build a foundation on hard work and doing things wisely by scheduling well to do things to set them up for success even if that means that they are 6-6 and (gasp) have to lose to MSU for a few years....Heaven forbid the rivalry "gets too toxic" for them. Which is laughable because the only thing MSU did to them was beat them on the football field and put up some billboards. They responded by going completely all in with an unethical charlatan of a football coach who was basically being groomed so that they could cheat to the point that they are off of the NCAA football penalty matrix. Which is actually their biggest accomplishment in football since John F Kennedy was President.

Chuck and Yancy are simply a part of the Network that they lapped up between 2012-2015 and have had a laundry list of lies documented that would make Richard Nixon say "damn" going back for years. All I know is if Paul, Gene, Robbie, whoever else is out there lied like that to MSU fans- A LOT of MSU fans would be completely up in arms about it and basically demand that we are told the truth or we are cancelling our subscriptions and on top of that many of us would at least write to Keenum and demand that the football program is changed for the better. Their response is "they might accept our self imposed penalties and after this Leo Lewis lawsuit they will probably drop the whole thing and forget about it." That's absolutely insane.

Ole Miss fans and alumni are at least in part at fault for not standing up and taking ownership of their program to actually build it the right way. I'm sure that they have some fans that want to do it that way- but sadly it appears that they have more that prefer to be part of "The Network" so that they can talk about hanging out with "Snoop" or "Shea Shea" or whoever it is because apparently their fan day isn't enough I guess. And they are absolutely at fault for not calling Chuck and Yancy out even though time and time and time and time again they have been proven to be completely wrong to the point where they literally have to go to a MSU web site to actually get the truth.

It's all about to completely fall apart and they are going to get what they absolutely deserve this time- which is good riddance because they did not get it the last time in 1994 when they were basically completely lucky and were able to weather the storm because of events that surrounded their program and ours. Including hiring an unknown coach that happened to be good in Tuberville and landing the best RB and then later probably the best QB in their school history. Along with MSU being relatively unstable including losing to them in 1995 and ULM and being investigated ourselves. As it is, we're more stable as a program- and probably only the second most stable in the West to Alabama although Auburn has an argument- and we're already cleaning up in recruiting- when was the last time that Tulane had more commits on the Miss/Ala HS ASG roster for Mississippi than Ole Miss? Probably never. So, again good riddance.
