What we wear is still up in the air, but I would not be surprised to see all-white (helmets included, to the dismay of many on here) since we did that for two big road SEC games (UK and OM) last year.

I agree that a vocal subset of UGA fans have been asking for it- I'm just saying that the tweet cited in OP is not from a legit account. UGA has said nothing to confirm or deny a blackout.

I hope they do one though- they did it in a non-conference game last year but haven't in an SEC game since an 08 loss to Bama.

That's not how it works- LSU chose to wear gold throwbacks in Baton Rouge last season, and that was a one time deal. We did choose to wear white at home and force them into purple in 2007 and 2009, however.

And just an FYI- We're practicing in white helmets this week. Very very likely that we'll wear the same all-white combo as we did in the Egg Bowl last year.

Clemson was a great win, but UGA was a championship contender coming in and loaded with talent and we smashed them into oblivion with a bunch of Shula players and freshman. The "funeral" (thanks Coach Cochran) game was and always will be one of my all-time favorites.

UGA has always been more about looking the part than actually being the part. Weak sauce, phoney, wannabe, pretender.

I don't care about team records in certain uniforms, I just think the white helmets look bad. Throw a maroon facemask on them and I would probably like them a lot more. They just look odd with our logo and on our jersey IMO.
