Shielding Penalty on Punts

we were charged for jumping over the shield during the punt...Im not sure what the term is, but the first thought I had was Jeffrey Simmons block punt last week for a TD at La Tech....wasn't he doing the same thing? Could that have been called a penalty last week?

No. Jeff went vertical and then was lifted by the defender (you can actually see it in the replay). The player last night actually tried to go over the defender and use him as a spring board. It's a suttle difference.
