And placating to alumni has gotten them where exactly? That's the reason they are where they are. Alumni making Monday morning QB decisions to a program they only know like their herd west of New Braunfels.

What we have here is another alumni base that has more money than sense and business ingenuity. Same as TX and OM. Jackie is a family friend and their alumni basically told him what they were going to do. He had no control over them and they got the NCAA on his case. Same with OM and Texas. The money runs the football program.

Why y'all think Jackie has so much land and wealth in TX. He was paid to turn thy blind eye. They'll never be a threat as long as the oil money runs deep. Ask the longhorns.

With that said, the expectations at aTm aren't based on reality. They can hire and fire all the want. Unless the find another Saban, they will always be a .650 team. They have a losing record in every series vs .....Texas, OU, Nebraska, Ark, LSU and obviously Alabama.
