Remind me. Is this the JUCO guy that intended to go to LSU after one year at JUCO and wasn't eligible at the last minute? If so, will he be a december enrollee? And he'll have two to play two? or Three to play two?

Wasn't he committed to us previously before flipping? Hard to get too excited until he signs.

I don't think Bama goes after too many JUCO's and when they do they are pretty good. I believe Bama is after him as well.

Not sure where Marcus Murphy and Nathaniel Watson are expected to play here; but if it's offense, our top 8 commits (247 rankings) are all offense. That's a pretty rare occurrence for us to be top heavy on offense. We could be on the brink of fielding a very good offense

Dan is stepping up the recruiting. Of course it's makes it a little easier when another schools not buying recruits with money, cars and hookers

I'm loving this. I doubt OM cracks the top 50 in recruiting over the next ten years.

Hey Mick, I think you hit the nail on the head.

Does the early signing period start this year for high school recruits too? Will be nice to relax through Jan-Feb knowing our guys won't get poached.

This is a huge pick up for us. He and Heath along with Couch, Todd, and etc. make us immediately better.

Want to wager that we will still be picked 5-7 in the west even adding those guys? Hell I bet we could even have the returning SEC yardage and TD leader (playing in one less game) and they'd still pick us toward the bottom of the West. Oh wait?**

Don't listen to what recruits say on twitter.

It's literally useless. We have a smart, educated fan base. Not sure why some don't understand that yet.

Jamal Peters wore both LSU and OM shirts on twitter.

Chris Jones and Bryant both wore OM uniforms.

I think twitter is useless and kids just want to have fun.

Pay attention to actions. Where do they spend their time?

Well,

1. Bama,
2. Auburn
3. LSU
4. A&M

I think it's going to change in the next few years, but there have been some pretty good teams finish 5th in the West.

Dan is stepping up the recruiting...

The problem with this is that it implies he was half-assing it for the last several years and not trying as hard as possible, that is not OK.

I seems that Mullen has made some made some good moves on his staff recruiting wise. There is still one glaring problem. But it makes me mad every time I think about how many players OM lured away with illegal inducements.

The problem with judging Dan's recruitment is that he doesn't always chase the stars. He sometimes goes after the 2* guys that he sees potential in.

But if he was half assing it then obviously that is not ok.

Indeed! It'd be nice if he could get some elite guys on the OL. Hopefully that will fall into place soon, too. Many people have no idea just how much effort UM put into undermining our recruiting classes.

I'm not implying he half assed it. I'm saying he's seen and made some necessary changes in recruiting. It Also helps the cause when someone's not cheating their a** off !

Yeah, us adding 4 new off field recruiting positions definitely helped. Still understaffed compared to bama and lsu but we're making up a little ground

Perhaps Mullen not sticking his nose in the defense has helped him recruit better on offense too

MarketingBully

I think this defense is all Grantham which is the way it should be. Dan needs to stick with the offense AND another positive change was he had nothing negative to say about the defense at all that game (not that you could). But I have always seen him blame the defense even when the defense wasn't at fault and his offense is what stunk it up. I'm hoping that trend continues this weekend.

There's a reason why I don't listen to them.
