Two Questions about Our Defense

Yes the defense was dominant. Swarmed to ball, fit gaps, and tackled well. Tremendous speed side to side. But I still think we need to wait and see if our front 7 can hold up against a downhill attack. My question is can they? Prob won't know until Lsu.

On the back end, our db's didn't have to cover all day Saturday. CSU threw it 8 times. I want to see us in coverage against la tech before crowning out defense. My question here is who should be our corners come nut cutting time? Dantzler and Peters seem like the playmakers, but I noticed durr and Cleveland started.

I think the main thing that stood out to me about our defense that I think translates for the rest of our games, is that we are going to have a pass rush this season. Between Sweat, Simmons, Fletcher Adams, Kobe, etc, we've got more speed on the DL to rush the passer.

We'll find out in a few weeks against LSU if we can handle a pounding, but I think we can. I also think we'll get more penetration & tackles for losses.
