Yea because tons of coaches say, "well, I would consider it". Nothing to see here. 0% chance is ridiculous to even say

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you but I remember when Saban looked straight into the camera and said "How many times do I have to say it? I am not gonna be the Alabama head coach, I am not gonna be the Alabama head coach, I am not gonna be the Alabama head coach."

I doubt he leaves Bama but let's be honest- Saban wears a good poker face.

If he was younger I could see where he might entertain it. He makes 5MM/year coaching at the best football school in the country and he is about to be 62. He aint leaving to start over at a lesser program at this point of his life

If I'm Texas I keep offering up to about 16 m. He' ll go for that.

Or cost Alabama so much the funds suffer for the rest of their coaching staff.

Bingo. Just like in sales....if you feel certain you'll lose a deal, you might as well make your competition lose as much money as possible

He will go for enough money. It's just a matter if Texas thinks its worth it. If I were them I would keep going until he came.

If saban does turn them down, will they go after the 2nd best coach urban?

I'm still going with Art Briles. Worst case scenario Baylor is 10-2 this year, and if they win at OK State, they might play for the national title. Briles has done an amazing job there.

Interesting question, but I wonder who Texas will go after?

If you are Texas and you are looking for someone to get you back on the map, who do you go get?

I was trying to think who I would want if I was Texas, and Im kind of drawing a blank.

Also Saban is slowly destroying the LSU program and if he grabs a few of these LA kids (Cameron Robinson) and Les does some stupid shit like lose to the bears or something else dumb, i really think the gap between Bama and the rest of the SEC will start to widen.

I don't think he is going to leave knowing that has literally the pick of the litter in his system.

In talking with the UT dude I work with, they may throw $8-10MM a year at Saban just to see if they can get him. They don't expect that they can lure him away from Alabama though. A head coach won't be announced until the season is over since everyone they are looking at is working right now. While most of their money guys want an experienced leader like a Saban, there's a significant number of their money people that want to get a young up and comer. Since they have to wait until the season is over to really start interviewing and offering, they will be closely watching Kilff Kingsbury and Hugh Freeze. I was told "They like Kingsbury and the coaches he has learned from, and if Freeze can win 8-9 including beating an LSU or Alabama, he will be in serious consideration".

This same guy told me before the season started that if Manny had one more brain fart game, he would be fired the next day.

You have to wonder how the guy did so poorly there after being so effective here. Were his hands somehow ties?
