I'm afraid some of you have expectations a bit to high. They will not lose that many schollies. 32-36 would be a good guess. That's a HUGE # of schollies. Also lots of other contact restrictions. Several show causes and a 2 year bowl ban. Those sanctions would set OM back for literally a decade.

The COI hasn't even met with unm yet. How could they have already decided the penalties. I believe they meet with the institution at the hearing and then decide penalties which takes a couple of months I believe.

Right. The 3-year bowl ban and 10-year show cause are major penalties, so the 24 lost scholarships doesn't really make sense in light of those.

Haven't they already self-imposed up to 16 scholly's already?

If they've gave up 8 in the '16 class and 8 in the 17 class + another 24 for the '18 & '19 classes, then that would bring the total scholly loss to 40 - which is brutal but deserved.

I think they self-imposed 11 schollies over 4 years.

OM enrolled 25 signees in 2016 and enrolled 20 this year.
