If it is found that new violations are discovered, e.g., providing prostitutes to recruits, can there be a third NOA?

If there is proof that OM at the highest levels was arranging escort hookups for high school athletes, there will indeed be further NCAA action against them.

Seems like more agencies might be interested than just NCAA if that is the case...

To my understanding it's going to go:

COI appearance in Sept.

Findings issued in November.

Can Ole Miss appeal beyond that? I'm not sure but my guess is they will if they can.

Sure. If they find no proof of this then it is over as far as the NCAA is concerned. If evidence is found then they can't just sit back and do nothing.

The question is if evidence is found involving hookers for croots. As far as the current NCAA case, OM will definitely appeal unless the COI has no backbone in September. Should have clarified that in my last post.

There is a reason Ole Miss is fighting to keep 5 years of Freeze phone records a secret.

Yes that's a whole nother ball of wax that's a layer of this same time period. My guess is that eventual it will come to light that the recruits will indeed be proven to be for recruits and that will cause a third NOA but it's too soon to officially know at this point.

And why they fired him as soon as they did after protecting him steadfastly for years.

The NCAA will be the least of their worries and that includes boosters.

I have a source that will be unnamed for obvious reasons but he was told by two former OM players that the "escorts" were actually paid contract workers that were hired by the football program for 3 months out of the year as recruiting hostesses/coordinators. They were not students. They were all from out of town. And they were all DTF. Recruits and players knew who they were. One of the girls had a nickname. I'll leave it at that. With all the lawsuits flying, I'm nervous to even posts stuff on here now.

SAs have already given testimony that there were "girls", the phone calls to hookers have already beeen discovered, so "I'd have to say...yeah."

If these "hostesses" were brought in from Memphis, and if they were paid to "hostess" by some booster, and if any of the recruits were under 18, we're talking about RICO-level, FBI-swooping-down-on-businesses-Offices-and-Baptist Churches and perp-walking some high and mighty business and spiritual leaders.

Because om is a mid-level major, have a politically incorrect school name and mascot, and they stonewalled so much, look for the NCAA hammer to come down....and come down HARD.

They said these girls actually came in and out of the football offices as if they worked there. I don't think they were from Memphis. One was from the mid Atlantic region

At LEAST one of these SA's was NOT 18..... Bring/hiring prostitutes across the state line is another issue for the Feds.

If a 3rd NOA comes down, The NCAA will hit TCUN harder than North Korea could dream of hitting Guam.

The nickname was allegedly carried over to one of their assistant's phones and discovered by someone outside the football program. I've heard two stories about this that don't add up though: 1) also from a former player there, that the girls have been brought in from a Detroit service for years because Memphis was too close. This was said BEFORE the Freeze phone call to a Detroit number became public knowledge. 2) the nicknamed girl was a student there and the mother found out and was pissed.

I suppose both could be true, but if so it would mean the hostesses are actually students there and the other girls are just tagging along for the party from November - February.

I think from now on, OM should get a regularly scheduled NOA, maybe every quarter. Just so they know the NCAA still cares.

Maybe they "recruit" talent from Detroit and put them on "work study" program. That would be a HUGE scandal if so.

She may have tried to get a degree from them so that she could get a job and get out of that lifestyle.

It reminds me of Alabama's fax girl a couple of years back. She had that "look" about her.

Auburn and Tennessee have problems with these programs in the past:
