We?re guessing Ole Miss can?t wait until the football season officially begins.

Per the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, Ole Miss linebacker Detric Bing-Dukes and cornerback Ken Webster were arrested for shoplifting Tuesday evening.

?We are gathering facts on the matter,? Matt Luke said through a university spokesman.
The arrests occurred at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday and were made by the Oxford Police Department. Webster and Bing-Dukes were released at 8 p.m. through Al Williams Bail Bonds.
The report doesn?t detail what the players are accused of stealing. Both players are expected to be key figures in the Ole Miss defense this fall. Bing-Dukes is a possible starter at middle linebacker and had 41 tackles and three tackles for loss in the fall.

Webster will likely see some time in the secondary as well if he?s fully recovered from a knee injury that he sustained in the Rebels? game vs. Florida State to open the 2016 season. His knee buckled as he jumped to defend a pass and he had to be carted off the field.

It?s been a tumultuous offseason for Ole Miss as the school deals with the NCAA allegations against the football program and a lawsuit against it regarding those allegations by former coach Houston Nutt. And then, as you likely know, former coach Hugh Freeze resigned two weeks ago after phone records showed he dialed a number connected to a Tampa escort service.

Luke, the team?s offensive line coach, was named the interim coach in Freeze?s place.

Ole Miss officially kicks off the 2017 season on Sep. 2 vs. South Alabama.

Remember guys, it can happen anywhere and to our teams too. I hate to see kids put their chances of ruining a possible lucrative career in football. If the charges holdup they pissed away a lot of money in the draft.

Neither of those two clowns were gonna get drafted anyway.

The mouthpieces say they were stealing "cleaning supplies" because.... poor broke student athlete, yada, yada. But the head coach doesn't know what they stole? Not that it matters really.

Yeah I saw that too. I also loved the responses I saw on Twitter- "Cleaning supplies? They sure took cleaning up the system to a whole new level".

I doubt these guys could cook a grilled cheese sandwich, much less meth.

If it was really "cleaning supplies", then my guess is that it was Tide detergent. For various reasons, Tide has become a popular currency on the black market.

From a NY Magazine article several years ago ...
"Tide bottles have become ad hoc street currency, with a 150-ounce bottle going for either $5 cash or $10 worth of weed or crack cocaine."

I seen it dawg
