Vanderbilt?

Will we have to replace them with another West opponent?

A&M. It would be the battle for Maroon. We already have history with them with the snow bowl. We beat them last year when they were flying high. They don't have a natural rival yet other than Arkansas and Arkansas already had LSU.

Like I said today I think if they get the death penalty the SEC will probably just go to everyone playing three teams against the opposite division instead of two. It really won't be that big of a deal. For us it would be a big deal because of the Egg Bowl but my guess is we would probably just play an OOC team in their place while they are serving the death penalty. It will probably end the deal where we play every Thanksgiving which might happen anyway after we blow them out a couple of times in a row. I could actually see us playing Texas A&M game 12 because their big rival Texas won't play them for the foreseeable future and with our rival having the plug pulled it makes some sense on that level. I could see Arkansas too. They may tell us to play an OOC team too- maybe we'll play USM in their place.

We could play for the Magnolia Bowl trophy- if LSU remembers where they put it.

Bama. They were a rival before Saban got there. We were like .500 against them over 15 years or so. Something like that.

UT-Arlington. Major metropolitan area, easy win, play at Jerry World every other year. It's a win-win-win.

Then again my old high school turned the tables on our cross county rival a while back and we stinking OWN them for the most part. It never gets old. When UM is relegated to the FCS I say we still charitably give them a game every other year, I think that's the maximum that we could still count them as a win for bowl purposes.

Oklahoma when they replace Ole Miss. OU exit fee from Big 12 will get paid and they will need someone to replace OSU for them. I am convinced Oklahoma is the next school joining the SEC after they've been watching aTm and Mizzou's transition. Oklahoma hates Texas and Ole Miss loves Texas so it really makes a lot of sense for both schools to just flip spots imo. There was some rumblings of Texas buying hookers for recruits/players a couple years ago too so Texas & Ole Miss are kinda perfect for each other. Remember how excited Ole Miss got when Texas played them in Oxford. Oh and Ole Miss has a large percentage of students from Texas already from what I understand.

You need to beat a team with some regularity for it to be a somewhat equal rivalry.

As long as we're fantasizing, eliminate athletics at USM (the fans might not even notice) and make Hattiesburg an MSU sattelite campus.
Use the OM campus and facilities as the state's newest prison site since the dorms fit the description and the students could simply find some fashionable coveralls.
Concentrate funding on the University of the People.

After OMs death sentence, we should never play or acknowledge USM in any sport and outside of the SEC, OM becomes Delta State and we should never play or acknowledge them either. Completely forget them and stop talking about egg bowl, it's over

Those were not great Bama teams, so it does not count for rivalry purposes. Winning when both are good is what counts.

For fun, I set an over/under at 4 years, 30 schollies, min. 1 year bowl ban, and a show cause for HUGH...

Obviously, I'd take the "over" on that, now....

OM should have paid attention to what the NCAA did to Bammer back in the day... They skrewed...
