I'm going to say nine with nothing else coming out on escorts for recruits.

If OM gets popped for that -- the head coach arranging prostitutes for high school athletes -- they may not beat anybody for a decade.

counting last year, 6 straight.... we will find a way in a few years to screw up a great situation

How many years since our last egg bowl "loss?" I'm thinking that they are going to have to forfeit 2013-2016 games. That would make Mullen only have 1 official loss to them

Probably 2012 as well because some of the sanctions did occur when Nutt was there.

Tough to say when you are talking hated rivals and having to guess consecutive. I say we win 6 in a row and 9 out of 10

If they get absolutely nuked by the NCAA then I think we get 10 in a row and own their asses.

4 in a row. Something stupid will happen. I do think we take a dominant lead as long as their penalties are remotely appropriate.

Talent will drop off each year due to loss of scolarships...UNLESS The Network continues its dirty business.

Before last season if I started a thread asking how many consecutive years can we beat South Alabama how many of you would have said less than ten? Get real folks . I blead maroon but I'm not blind. If we can beat any SEC school 3 years in a row we are doing good and no matter how bad they are going to get hammered they will still have sec talent players period. And another thing , there is an absolute zero chance , none what so ever they get the death penalty period! Please stop saying they are , it makes you look like you know absolutely nothing about college football. Whew, sorry for the rant but just had to get that off my chest.

I'm not sure I've seen anybody on this board say they are getting the DP. But to say there is a zero chance, shows your lack of knowledge of the NCAA penalty matrix. I doubt very seriously it'll ever happen, but there is much better than a zero percent chance.

You think paying for prostitutes for 17-year-olds will nail down exemplary cooperation for them?

We are going to beat Ole Miss this year in Starkville.

After that, their roster will fall off dramatically for the next half decade.

I think that without rampant cheating on their part, we would already have beaten them seven times in a row....

Don't do this. If Om gets a two year death penalty Id still be in a wait and see mode on year 3

You have not seen OM is/will or "you think" getting the dp on this board ? Well either you can't read or your blind also. The NCAA penalty matrix ? Come on , right now a 2 year bowl ban is about the best we can realistically hope for.

Lol. I've seen plenty of discussion where people ask if we think they will get it. They aren't getting it but it's ok to discuss it.

You obviously haven't read the penalty matrix or don't understand it or the reason it was put in place. Either that or you might want to go take your antidepressants. The NCAA cannot sweep this under the rug and remain relevant. It's the NCAA or OM.

tesa8034 may be basing his modest penalty ceiling on the precedent of other modern day teams that have cheated in the manner Ole Miss has.... Wait, sorry THERE AREN'T ANY!

In any case, the key here here would be finding OM systematically provided paid sex encounters for recruits by the top of the OM athletic administration. As a repeat offense, that is easily death penalty material.

Mullen has won 5 Egg Bowls. The 3 losses will be vacated due to NCAA violations. We can't count those 3 as wins but the cheaters can't either - so they're vacated. So we're already at 5. We win the next 5, maybe the next 7. I'll say in total, 10 in a row.

Last legit UM win: 2008 (45-0, over Croom).
Next game that UM should have a chance: 2022

Questions like this will always lead to highly speculative answers....it's really hard to forecast the college football landscape for even the upcoming season for most teams, let alone 3 or 4 years down the road.

That being said, I think a reasonable expectation would be something like 4 in a row. 2016 is in the bag. 2017 we get them in Starkville with an interim head coach and around 1 month removed from the NCAA announcing sanctions. That should be guaranteed, no excuses. 2018 is back in Oxford against a depleted roster (possibly Shea and others transfer before the 2018 season after sanctions are announced), and that is shaping up to be a strong roster for us. We should win 2018. 2019 returns to Starkville, and we will hopefully have a trend of 3 straight strong recruiting classes aided by OM having reduced class size and, if they are smart, less cheating. That's the diciest to predict this far out, but right now why not give the home team the nod? Anything past that point is a coin flip. Too much could happen either way to either team to make an accurate assessment.

The NCAA penalty matrix ? Come on , right now a 2 year bowl ban is about the best we can realistically hope for.

Go look at the matrix compared to which infractions they are charged with. Someone here did a write up with what the penalties would be strictly by the matrix. It would be MUCH worse than a 2 year bowl ban, however the NCAA will give them a dumb-downed version because there's such a high volume of infractions.

If we can win the next two it could get to 8 straight with some lopsided scores along the way.

Correct me if I'm wrong but even if OM has to vacate the wins, we do not get to vacate the losses. O/U for me would be 4, something crazy will happen like a field goal stopping in mid air and going backwards or something.
