I agree. I know he's dumb, and I know ole miss is dumb, but I still can't believe he would end up there. We would throw bricks at the AD's office if we hired Les Miles!!!! But it would be a good move for them. He won't cheat and the national media loves him. Now, he's not gonna win more than 5-7 games a year ever at ole miss but that's another story.

No agent would let his guy sign a contract without knowing sanctions.

No one is taking the job right now before sanctions come out. He's a TV guy now so it's very possible he could be there for TV purposes.

Miles would be a perfect "caretaker" coach for their time in pergatory.

If he takes it does this mean OM will finally be able to run the ball?

He's probably just driving John Gruden and Tony Dungy around town.

Sweet Baby Jesus, please let this happen.

Let's review:

Since MDL made his ass quit, Miles went 21-14 (.600) vs the SEC, with an 85 man roster of Top 5 talent, playing half of those games in Death Valley, in front of >100,000...

Now, he's gonna go to Ole Miss, try to compete with 50-60 two/three star players, in a high school sized stadium, built with my REC/SEC "tax" dollars... hmmmmmmm

I'll allow it.

I pray Les takes that job, but it will never happen. should it happen he would be gone in a few years. He had the most NFL talent in the NCAA over his tenure and only won one natty, right after Saban left. If you gave Dan Mullen the talent Miles had, he would be in the NC Game every other year at minimum and win one every 4 years at minimum. It really is sad to see how much talent he wasted but I do not feel sorry for any other SEC program. You make the bed you lay in.

Cross on H2H said yesterday that he "knows for a fact" Bjork doesn't even have a list of coaches to pursue and that Matt Luke will get a legit shot at the HC position. I find it hard to believe Miles is in Oxford. I figure this is someone trolling UM fans or just more unrealistic, eternal optimism being passed around among UM fans.

Yeah, but like Howland calling us I'm sure if Les says he'll coach om for a reasonable salary they'd be idiots not to jump on that. I'd take Miles over Luke any day.

Wont hear any serious candidates till after the season. No coach is dumb enough to take that job before knowing how much shit hes gonna have to shovel thru. OM may not be a winning team for the next 10 seasons

At least we helped give them a dose of reality back in November to ease their pains.
