Perhaps this has been addressed previously, but could someone post an educated guess as to when the sanctions will be handed down? As I understand it, they first appear before the COI to argue their case, but at what point are they "sentenced"? I assume Ole Miss will appeal l, so will the sanctions be put "on hold" until the appeal process is completed?

Late November or early December, right around Egg Bowl time. I usually go the the high school state championships that happen the week after the Egg Bowl. They are at UM this year. I may have to borrow a car. Mine has MSU stickers on it.

They will go to a hearing in August, September, or October. The COI has two of those months already scheduled. August may or may not happen. The reading of penalties will depend on how long the COI members need to deliberate with one another. Presumably that will take weeks to one or two months.

After they announce the penalties the restrictions and reductions go in place immediately. They can be repealed if the school wins the appeal, but the effect is instant. No waiting for the appeal.

Well, let's wait and see if the NCAA wants to take a look at the new developments. I hope the NCAA drags this out till 2018 or 2019. The rebs will protest but they couldn't ever quit cheating long enough to get a ruling.

Those redacted Booster names should be forth coming very soon. If not then OM has made more of a laughable joke of the MS Public Records Act. Setting a good precedence for other State Agencies to follow if they so desire.

I know this won't happen , but it would be great for the NCAA to continue with everything as is and then open up a new investigation on these new developments. OM has wanted national publicity and recognition of their football program for several years and now they have gotten their wish on publicity. Just not the way they had hoped.

Could the COI send them a quick addendum in the next few weeks that says "Be prepared for questions concerning escorts and student athletes"?

Really Clark?

Their next meeting is in August and they usually take place the second weekend of the month they meet. The next would be Oct and then Dec.

Mid to late November. My hope and there is a good possibility this is true is that it will be the week before the Egg Bowl.
