Matt Luke is far more likely than Chip Kelly. List is a joke. Blake Anderson would be a good hire, so I hope they don't go after him

Stolen from SECRant. Derek Dooley makes a lot of sense to me.

Thoughts?

Heck, I'm not even sure Dooley would take that job.

Yeah, I can see Dooley at OM. He's a spineless bastard, he'd fit right in.

Many of those coaches are better candidates than Hugh Freeze when he was hired. How in the world do you go through what they are dealing with and think that you are going to upgrade? Vegas is just taking suckers' money and building more hotels.

No Mullen? List is worthless.

If Chad Morris takes that job right now, he's an idiot. A year or two ago, or a year or two from now, sure. Right now? Idiot.

Bobby Petrino! He probably runs a few Escort services

I was hoping to see Joe Lee Dunn with some odds. He knows the campus and is retired looking to make a little coin. They could probably get him by just promising a cold six pack on the bus after the game.

I can see some C grade coaches going after this job like bridesmaids after a bouquet at a wedding. They're locked in for ten years with no expectations making at least $2.5 million a year.

Heck, I'm not even sure Dooley would take that job.

He got paid around $10M to coach and be fired at UT, so he probably doesn't have to do anything else, but he's a WR coach in the NFL, which makes you think heh wants to keep coaching. It's been over four years since he was fired at UT, so if he wants to take another shot at a HC gig, this will probably be his chance.

Plus, getting another say $5M payday from Ole Miss (say $1.25M for four years), would probably make a pretty big difference in his standard of living. At that very least, that would be another $120k in income per year indefinitely.

Lots of next big things end up missing their window. If UM is smart, they are going to save some money rather than paying big bucks to somebody to arrange the deck chairs on the titanic, but if they offered Chad Morris $4M a year for a four year contract with a full guarantee on the salary? I wouldn't blame him for taking it. Yea, it'd mean probably giving up on any non-monetary related dreams you had for coaching; but those type dreams flame out all the time, and there are worse things than using say $9.5M in after tax money to wipe away your tears as you think about your unfulfilled dreams.

I'm surprise the current and most recent past USM coache are not on that list. I am sure once the sanction are announce that list could grow or shrink.

One thing is for certain...They will pay well over market value for whoever is greedy enough to sign on...And they will celebrate the over-payment.

Where's the field bet?? That's the one I would take.. if I had to take one it's Matt Luke
And I think they left off two 0's after the 14 on chip Kelly
Also Charlie Strong already spent 3 years cleaning up one program he isn't about to do it again.

Vegas is going to make a whole bunch of money if people actually put it down on any of these guys.

Best $ bet for sure. Have a feeling him being named in the NOA is likely why it's so low, but after seeing how Ole Miss defines "exemplary cooperation," I still think it's the best bet.

Actually, if you want to win and move on, this might be the year to take the job, while they actually have a little talent on the team. Once Shea, AJ, the big OT and rest get drafted, they'll be at CUSA level. Of course, whether any of them are there in 2018 is dependent on sanctions, but 2017 is written in stone for the most part.
