If our O-line holds up and we get a couple guys to step up at WR I think we should be decent this year. I'm thinking 7-8 wins.

Things look good on Hodges as well. Supposed to be making a decision tomorrow.

Would be great to get him in next week, play him some in the first two non-conference games, & have him ready to go for LSU.

If we get the Oline to gel possibly with Hodges and some WRs that aren't named Gray to step up, we could have a pretty good season. I still think 8 wins is the ceiling barring some miraculous events but it should be a great ride. It helps that the Golden Egg is home probably for the foreseeable future.

Certainly Hodges would be great for some much needed depth. However, if he wants to start, he needs to get his ass in the boat quickly. Practice is about to start.

This seems like a win-win. As big of a business as college football has grown to be, no reason to not have the players on campus in late July. Most of them in practice have to spend the whole summer there regardless. Letting them spread practices out will probably make practice more productive and also increase the benefits from the "non-practice" time that coaches spend with them on the mental side.

Does anyone know if the practices are open to the public?

No two a days this year. Is the shorts only rules still in effect?
