View Full Version : 6 days of phone records?

Finally got around to listening to Friday's Boneyard on BSR. Did I hear corrrectly that Steve only had a 6 day window of the phone contacts?
So he and Nutt's lawyer did the initial investigating and found this # to the escort service, and Nutt's attorney notified Bjork and Vitter a week before the Freeze resignation.
Now, what's it going to take to get a look at the phone records to determine whether or not Freeze's pattern of misbehavior is only related to his personal life and not that of recruiting with whores?
Is everyone supposed to believe Bjork, who is a proven liar at this point in time?

Besides another NCAA probe, how can this be discovered?

Nutt's Lawyers have asked for all of the Freeze phone records from since Moses was a cub scout. They will share, because they have shared with Steve already. There was some sort of "You show me yours and I'll show you mine agreement.

Regardless of the container, the truth will eventually seep out. Nothing like a subpoena to open up boxes of stored history. Freeze better hope he mostly used burner phones.

Freeze used to use the term "colonoscopy" for what he was going through at the hands of the NCAA.

That has now morphed into a forensic autopsy.

People who lie and cheat almost always lie and cheat a lot. You have to, once you start. (Anybody believe Dickie Scruggs tried to bribe just one state judge?)

We're hearing now, even from stooges like Kellenberger, that rumors have been rampant in Oxford about Freeze's character for years.

It will all come out now that no one is trying to protect Rev Hugh. It will go all the way to Briarcrest.. freeze will never coach again above the community college level.

IT was Steve and his wife that tracked Bucky's phone call to an escort service.

Well, somehow the NCAA missed this. Or they simply didn't bother digging.
I'm sure they requested phone records.
Was Freeze allowed to redact personal calls before NCAA examination as he apparently was before Nutt's attorney received them? Or would the NCAA have access enough to see the "pattern" Vitter and Bjork suddenly discovered? (Steve also said this phone record is supposed to be monitored MONTHLY by the OM compliance people, the fact that it wasn't is yet another example of LOIC).
As was posted in another thread, something is seriously wrong here.
My speculation is that Bjork and Vitter have known of this pattern for quite some time. And while they are covering up obtaining whores for recruits, there could be something even more treacherous.
Not for one minute do I believe Freeze left 20 million on the table.

I would think that the NCAA due to new evidence could request all phone records with no redaction. The NCAA could now say "prove those hookers weren't for recruits", remember the NCAA isn't a court of law where you are innocent until proven guilty.

The school has been through 40,000 calls. Don't know what Nutt's lawyer has, but the school has seen a lot... hence the pattern and the firing. Thing is, they knew about this before reporters got the records from Nutt's lawyer. At a minimum, they knew when Freezus was asked at SEC Media Days.

Well..... isn't it the job of a fine, upstanding compliance department to review the call logs of the coaches?

The only way they woudn't have known is if they weren't doing their jobs

Yes. It is. Supposed to be done on a recurring basis. Theyve already got a LOIC charge though. There's 0% chance that's going away following this storm.

For all we know, the escort services Freeze patronized were a job perk. Along with an FOIA request of the phone records, how about an audit of Freeze's University issued credit card?
Surely he wouldn't use a personal cc. Unless he set up a P.O. Box where his wife wouldn't take a look at the bill.
Cash transactions? Maybe. But again,..mighty large withdrawals that anyone's spouse would be asking about. Especially over a 5-6 year time period. Maybe she just feigned ignorance for the sake of her marriage and family.

What better way to keep Freeze's mouth shut than to offer up these perks. They'd know they had him nailed from the start. No wonder it was so easy to renew his contract with a big raise, knowing he'd probably never see the funds.

These people are capable of anything.

They were just praying that Nutt's lawyer didn't figure out anything. Probably didn't count on someone like Steve going through every single call since all Nutt was looking for was calls to journalists.

That would be misappropriation of government funds which would be highly illegal. That is on a completely different level than taking a vacation on the government's dime.

Seems like a perfect question from some reporter that's been lied to at the next presser.

Unless I'm mistaken, Steve said Ole Miss was notified on Thursday about the phone call, which would have been the same Thursday that Hugh had his say at SEC Media Days. It would come down to what time of the day they were notified.

Is this a high school or college in Lafayette county? Is it alleged this QB was provided with an escort by OM/Freeze or did someone on staff have relations with the QBs mother or QBs girlfriend

That pretty much narrows down which school and kid it is, if one wanted to find out. Probably only one or two high schools in the entire county since it's so small.

My understanding is.... That the attorney for Mr. Nutt was organically looking for the numbers of REPORTERS that would "tie together where/from whom"
all the tweets, articles, podcast etc. about most of the NCAA allegations being from Mr. Nutt's tenure. Most being those 6 days when all the ugly came out about Nutt.

Id be shocked if Nutts attorney didn't already know. He gave to Steve to let him "find". Now he has an avenue to Steve throughout the case.
