I'm hearing P5 power players (read Big 10) are wanting penn state type shocking allegations but bigger penalties. They want ole miss to take the mantle for most corrupt program in the ncaa. Of course it's a blemish on the SEC and confirms everyone outside of the SEC suspicions that this is business as usual. Also hear we should expect a third NOA with this new information.

That would be fine by me. Everyone o/s the south already thinks the SEC is the most corrupt conference out there. Mild penalties won't change that. Go ahead and hammer them.

A third LOA , now that would be beyond devastating- particularly if they have already been give sanctions on the other two. They would go fro. 'Sit on it a year' to "Please Mr. NCAA finish this up. We can't even recruit against Bellhaven with more probation time hanging over our head."

NCAA will be like The Warden in Cool Hand Luke - 'Whose dirt is this UNM'

UNM...."That's my dirt sir"

What we have here is a failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had last week. Which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it. Any more than you do.

If boosters or anyone provided escorts for underage recruits as part of a systematic scheme, OM football as we know it will be over.

Penn state should have been shut down as a University. What happened there is beyond sickening.

I agree... I'm not a OM fan by any stretch but I can't stand comparing a team that was corrupt and cheated to win to a team that used there power and tradition to rape little boys. I understand the hatred of ole miss but those 2 programs are nowhere close to each other

I would rate them as 1) Penn State 2)Baylor 3) Ole Miss.

1. covering up little boys getting raped in the name of winning football is as bad as it gets

2. covering up young women getting raped in the name of winning football is a close 2nd

3. hiring prostitutes for boys is pretty close to number 2. You have to think that some prostitutes are possibly forced into the sex trade. That doesn't even go into the whole corruption of a minor issue. The history of Ole Miss taking recruits to strip clubs in Memphis should also be remembered and brought up. This is obviously their culture and it needs to be eliminated from college athletics. I say Nuke it and let them start from scratch in a few years.

I agree with your ranking, but I suspect we don't have the entire story yet out of OM.

I can agree with the football program being shut down but the entire University not so much. A 70 year old professor teaching Spanish shouldn't lose their job cause Sandusky is a sick pervert.

Yep, it wasn't like everyone at the university knew what was happening. Pretty much everyone that knew were fired. The football program should have been shut down for at least a couple of years and their bowl portion from the Big 10 donated to charities that deal with those issues.

Now a possible sexual assault cover up. Moves OM over Baylor...?

Buying a 17 year old a hooker is bad but it is nothing to the level of a grown man taking young kids to the shower in the locker room. I would have love to be that 17 year old but would never want to be the kid taken into the shower.

Big different from being a good football player getting some ***** versus a kid getting rapped by a grown man. I would never compare the two.

No comparison at this point with PSU or Baylor. The level of sickness at those two places is really beyond the realm of my comprehension.

Not if some of the smoke around people coming out about incidents on campus has some actual fire..

"a team that used there power and tradition to rape little boys." That 17ing didn't happen. I'm tired of the 17ing lies about what happened at Penn State. It involved an EX-coach, an assistant coach who changed his story 10 years later, maybe 3 administrators, and maybe the head coach. Besides the fact that no one currently at the school was involved, NO PLAYERS, NO RECRUITS, NO OTHER COACHES, NO BOOSTERS, and NO FANS were EVER involved. None of it involved Penn State football gaining a competitive advantage. 17 off. I know A LOT more about this than you.

OM's scandal directly involved current boosters, current coaches, current players, and underage recruits to gain competitive advantage. Baylor's scandal involved coaches and players and coverups of rapes of young students. Michigan State's scandal involved a team doctor and young athletes including children and possibly a coverup by coaches and administrators.

Agree. Ole Miss is corrupt, but Pedd State destroyed lives of little children....and it was covered up for decades.

Penn State was horrible. But if we consider what we see in the news these days about human trafficking and how many of these women are abducted, then shopped about ata young age to the highest payers, forced to take drugs and crammed into this terrible existence or excuse for a life,..than it's really just as bad for folks to take part in it.
Did this outfit in Detroit exclusively serve clientele in Tampa? Or are the networked to prostitution rings throughout multiple metropolitan areas in the nation?
I can see how cash mules might be used to make these payments instead of any traceable credit card transactions. It's a simple case of money laundering, much like drug traffickers.
But I don't know exactly how these escort services operate, and to what lengths they will go to serve. Generating a cash flow would be easier for multiple boosters than the university,..so it could be for good reason they want the redactions to stay in place.
