According to someone on 24/7, the John Does in the law suit are Steve, Dan, Pat Forde, and an unnamed NCAA employee. Claims they've been colluding to bring down OM and RR since 2015.

This somehow became more hilarious.

Is Fancy even a real person? At this point one has to wonder if an actual human being could write and believe such things.

But seriously, has anything he ever seen him in real life?

They are just looking embarrassingly foolish at this point. Like the violinists playing away on the Titanic as it sinks. Just a total shit show dumpster fire, and I am loving the shit out of every second. You pink pant wearing shitbags are the absolute perfect group for this to happen to. Click an ad

I know we have some fine MSU attorneys but if we actually had staff folks named in a suit (or if I was Rosebowl) I'd hire Nutt's guy faster than you can say "Tampa hooker".

Is it not hilarious that Ole Miss booster, fans, and affiliates believe reporting the truth is a conspiracy?? They have to be being ironic...right? They can't be serious.

Just started reading...this thing is hilarious! It really is sad that our legal system is even entertaining the thought of this case moving forward. If you had no prior knowledge of the case, or investigation, and just read this response you would think it came from the university. The discoveries by Nutt's team and SR appear to be damaging to this case as well.

Incidentally, if they had anything to base this lawsuit on it would have been made public already. All it seems to be is message board rumors and such. Case in point: Houston Nutt had a legitimate lawsuit, provided substantive underlying facts and supporting documents. That's what a real case looks like.

I'll be interested to see if this all causes the NCAA to dig a bit deeper in Rebel Rag's other business ventures.

It was my understanding that this Merkel guy was a good attorney so he can't be serious about this drivel he's filing. He's got to be doing it just for the money.
The funny thing is that you know all the Ole Miss administration is watching this bullshit lawsuit closely and then Nutt and his lawyer slip in and in a couple of weeks take down their coach. Stupid ****ing shitbirds.

The legal system is weighted heavely on the side of the complaintant, in this cas RR, the system loves to drag any case out bilking hundreds of thousands in legal fees....then most cases are setttled out of court, if this case goes to a jury it won't take 5 minutes to decide RR is full of shit!

I would agree 100% with that after looking over the response. Every Forde article about the investigation is an Exhibit. Looks like they are making SR the primary conspirator John Doe. They included "Rosebowl Was Right" shirts, "Flim Flam" including pic of the cover (pg 325), and about a dozen of his tweets and FB post. They also include an NCAA staff person:

...there is ample evidence linking the defendants to one overarching conspiracy involving the three named defendants, MSU staff, an NCAA staff person, and a fan-based MSU media site.

Good luck with your suit RR & TCUN (we all know you're involved)...The rest of the country would like to thank you for the free entertainment!

It illustrates just how weak Merkel is....take him out of Mississippi or a friendly venue and you will see he is just another sue happy plaintiff attorney....If people want to know why Mississippi is behind the rest of the country economically....look no further than to Charles Merkel and all those like him.

Unbelievable, that this group is more concerned with who exposed them as cheaters and liars than they are with their own coaches, boosters and administration, who actually did the cheating and lying. Just unbelievable.

Uh, om ain't a plaintiff.

So Merkles legal argument is dan, forde, rosebowl, Miller, Kobe, Leo, and an NCAA staffer all conspired to form an unthruthful story to damage rebel rags????? Seriously????? That's what he has to show for this to have merit. Gtfo. RR ain't that important bruh.

I'm not sure they know what collusion means.

Maybe they read it in the national political headlines, and said hey if they can use for whatever then let's try it too. You know it seems everyone is colluding with everyone nowadays, but nothing gets solved. That's just what the rebs would like to see happen to them. Nothing. But so far they've lost a bunch of coaches, sacrificed monies and future signees, lost commits and now they're scared shitless of what drops next.***

Merkel seems pretty sure that Leo, Kobe, and Tunsil's stepdad having similar stories of free Rebel Rags merchandise is evidence of collusion.

I bet if he put on his best thinking cap he could come up with another, much more plausible reason those three report similar stories.

Either RR got pissed that Leo gave all his free shit away or he's the one in collusion, with Umiss, on filing this behemoth of a frivolous response and lawsuit. Muddying the fishing waters or something like that is at best what they are doing to themselves. I really doubt if he named the entire world as John Does he would scare anyone.

The NCAA is paying the legal fees for both LL and KJ (Fact)

JoseBrown
07-23-2017, 07:23 AM
There are very many assumptions being made I noticed in the article and first couple of pages in the response. Almost like they have a story, but they can't prove it so they'd like the court to try to prove it for them.

Um, suing two members of the press...neither of which can be compelled to divulge their sources, kind of a nonstarter.
