Take a 5 minute stroll through twitter & you'll realize something very quickly.

The media has moved straight from Hugh Freeze resigning to wondering who OM's next coach will be & asking if 2 wins over Bama & a Sugar Bowl were worth it.

Why aren't media people hunting down the real story?

Why aren't they still discussing the investigation?

Why are they already asking if 2 wins over Bama & a Sugar were worth it when they don't even know the price yet?

Again, go look at twitter. All they want to talk about is who the next coach is & could care less that OM's version of the events this past week is minimal compared to what the true story is?

Again, nothing has changed. These guys could care less about doing real journalism.

Does anyone know if the possibility of hookers for recruits is seriously being ivestigated and if so by who?

It's partly because they really don't know much. They have agendas, plus they're lazy.

Where was the national media when the movie "The Blind Side" was praised so highly? Maybe they thought it was a factual documentary?

Freeze resigning from a sex scandal and its consequences is a lot bigger story than Ole Miss in trouble with the NCAA.

Fortunately, the NCAA is still in line for their pound of flesh. They are doing to drill Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is gonna be so broken...the fun of bashing them is already starting to wear.

As I understand it, Nutt's lawyer has requested the unredacted phone records dating back to 2012. That is what prompted Bjork to look through things. If they decide not to give them to him, he can subpoena them. I suspect Rosebowl will follow up, particularly to see if it ties to recruiting.

Not sure what else you want. UNM has been eviscerated by the media at every level except their homers. The Ledger is never going to jump on the dog pile. When the next blow lands on UNM, the media will be standing in line to promote the destruction.

Kids are backing away from their recruitments. Rumors are coming out about transfers - well before announced sanctions.

News will break as this progresses.

Not sure what else you want.

The truth. Boosters and just about everyone associated with OM football was active or enabling hookers to be paid for recruits. They were also catfishing recruits with fake coed accounts on top of paying huge amounts of money for recruits and paying their bills if they were good enough. Oh and the 31 other violations the NCAA already is working on.

Agree, but thus far it has been coming out. Not gonna get wrapped up in less than 48 hours from the Freeze resignation press conference. Ongoing process. Results thus far have been good.

Was watching espn passively yesterday and that show came on where each person gets points for their responses. They had 3 women of the 4 contestants. The consensus of all three was that college athletics recently had shown multiple incident of strippers, hookers, or escorts and the pattern hasn't stopped. They said people continue to do these things and football programs rarely get the penalties they deserve. These three women agreed that OM should be made an example and the media should actually dig in to and expose all of the details.

This is about to be a bloodbath with sharks circling in the media. All they had to do was apologize to Nutt and can Bucky at 2nd NOA. But the pulled the typical OM arrogant approach and will burn the plantation down around them.

Journalism is dead, especially local journalists. I suspect because there's no money in it, so it attracts lazy slobs looking for an easy job. The hard working guys, move up fairly quickly and focus on stories that get clicks nationally. I'm guessing a disfunctional athletic program in North Mississippi just doesn't meetvthat criterion. The laziest end up stuck at the Clarion Ledger for a decade, and regurgitate stories they find on the twitter.

Yep. Nobody's even questioning whether they were bought for croots in the media. Common sense says they were. Should be opening a new chapter with the ncaa. Still early on this, we'll see.

Just maybe the Coaches, where SA#1-49 signed with, ought to call in the players in there offices and ask them what went on at the Party the weekend before signing day... Which usually takes place at a place called the Library....

Anyone know anything????? Lots of recruits, LOTS of so called beautiful women, alcohol, dancing and money??????

I'm sure Deadspin and TMZ sports is on the case. Unfortunately in the litigious world we live in the media has to be careful of being accused of "fake news". If there is a connect to recruits then they have to wait until it is discovered before putting on blast. I feel confident that between all the parties someone will make the connect.

If you look at TMZ's sports section it appears they haven't spent a second on this story.
