View Full Version : Freeze Escorted Out!! Does it feel different than you had imagined??

After a work related hiatus from the board, I could not pass up this situation to Brett Favre out of retirement, and post about Bucky's ESCORT out of the Oxford Dam.

I know there were many of us who saw Hugh Freeze as a snake oil salesman from day one. From Archie announcing "He had found his man" to the overly and outwardly Christianity persona emitted from the Beav, those with early BS detection radars knew who HF was and the reason he was brought on board. Hell, he sold his soul to ride the Michael Oher train to his collegiate coaching start. To anyone with half a brain, Hugh Freeze was never a man of integrity.

Also as a general rule, the biggest frauds known to man are the ones who tell you about their charity, religious giving, and everything they do for others. A true person does these things without a PR department promoting them. Maybe the obliviousness to this is just a changing time of society in general, of being easily duped. I was attacked personally by MSU family, MSU friends, and OM fans for calling HF a hypocrite and liar from day 1 (this week most of them recanted previous statements). Every rebuttal involved something of his Christianity and/or faith.

Now for the gist of this post. Many of us have known for a long time how corrupt that program has been and still is. We have numerous incidents of firsthand knowledge of MSU commits being bought right out from under us. The one that hits closest home to me is CJ Johnson, as I was sitting maybe 6-8 seats over from them during that Egg Bowl when Ralph demolished that defense. He stood up to cheer and was shortly after asked to leave the game. Then 3 days later a reliable source told me he had been given a truck and both his mother and her boyfriend a house full of expensive ass furniture. I posted about these things on "the other site", to which extreme excoriation followed. Nothing i posted was a lie and I am finally somewhat at peace because they are finally caught by the short hairs with no escape.

As much as we have all been looking forward for the truth about Bucky to come out and the hammer to come down on OM, does the last 24 hours feel the same way you had envisioned it, prior to the news breaking?

Like scoring your first TD, hitting your first HR, or getting your first piece of ***, before it happens you create this hype in your mind or envision how great it will feel. In my experiences none of the actual feelings of any of the aforementioned events have met the preconceived hype that was built up in my mind. Maybe I'm in the minority and that's why I'm asking.

Now that the Beaver Dam has been blown with dynamite, was it what you all expected it would feel like?

Maybe my thinking is more of a "knew this was coming" mentality so it isn't as exciting. Similar to accidentally seeing your Christmas presents a week before Christmas, but still having to open them Christmas morning in front of your family, whilst making all efforts to appear excited.

However, one item that has not been discussed much is Mrs. Beav and family. They are the only victims of this entire thing. They will have hell to deal with because of the decisions and actions of Bucky. They didn't choose this or make those decisions, so I hope they are spared or sheltered from this and the upcoming outfall that is around the corner.

It feels pretty good to me to be honest. I 100% agree with you about the Christianity take. As a Christian myself the problem I had was it was pretty obvious that he was using faith as PR and also as a way to get people on his side to explain cheating. "Oh these 4-5 star players are coming here because Freeze can change their lives!" The other problem I had with how he used Christianity was that at times it seemed like he was almost saying that God loves Ole Miss more than others or loves him more than others because of his faith. That has nothing to do with Christianity and is not Biblical. You can't "work" your way into Heaven. God loves each of us equally whether we are a State, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Tulane, Liberty University or EMCC fan. The point is to have a relationship with God and accept that Jesus was his Son who died for our sins and to love and serve God. A lot of the time it seemed like Hugh whether he knew it or not came across as God served him in the form of landing recruits or winning a big game.

It's one thing to cheat and that's bad enough as it is- but it's another to drag God into it and to try to use that as cover for your cheating is horrible.

But off of that soapbox- as far as football itself is concerned the thing that upset me from a MSU fan/alum perspective about their cheating is we built a team through hard work and eventually got to number one in the country and all of that. The team they built through cheating beat our team twice and cost us at least one Sugar Bowl bid if not two. It would be one thing if they built their team the way we did and they just beat us straight up on the field. I can tolerate and respect that. But to have deserved accomplishments taken away by a team that was built through cheating it's one of those things that in life isn't fair especially in the moment that it happens. I think this revelation about Freeze and who he really is plus the fact that Ole Miss will be hit hard by the NCAA and it appear to be snowballing quite frankly and knowing that they are at a very bare minimum are going to have to vacate the accomplishments that they achieved by cheating a little more fair and "right" even though to me to be honest it never will be truly right because our guys that worked hard didn't get to experience what they worked hard for and deserved more.

So, I hope they get slammed as hard as possible and I won't feel sorry for them at all if they get the death penalty. At least if they do get the death penalty they can actually at least look each other in the eye and say that they earned something for once.

It feels good I'm not going to lie. Maybe not first piece of ass good - which is ironic since we're talking about a beaver - but good. Him having to leave disgraced is the main thing I wanted. I was sick and tired of the look and drinking bears saying how good a person he was, how good a coach he was, and how good of a recruiter he was when he was none of those things. That said, I never thought his fall from grace would be side poon. Now all that is left to do is sit back and wait for the rest of the dumpster to catch fire and burn.

It feels good to me. I'm trying to do the Christian thing and not feel joyous in his demise but it's hard. I've been telling my family for 4 years that he was a bad person. I told them that he is a very low character individual and do not believe any of the garbage that he spews. I could spot it from miles away and I think most rational people could. My family members had to hear ole miss fans say things like, "God loves ole miss". Who in their right mind says stupid crap like that? Well, the hypocrite Freeze and his cult, that's who. So, while I feel bad for his family and a few ole miss fans, he is getting exactly what he deserves. He has done more harm to Christianity than any good he did with all those fake tweets, those fake speeches at religious events, etc....
If anyone in my family had been baptized by him, (which is the most retarded thing I've ever heard of) I would have been at the church yesterday morning getting them baptized by a true man of God!

Using God as a cover for improper behavior is a complete no no. We have all seen through his fake image from day one.....all except the OM faithful. The last couple of days have been great and as good as expected. And as many here and Rosebowl have said......more to come.

Its surreal. I was so sure the NCAA would can him. The hooker thing was so shocking. That it was a pattern in 5 years of phone records is shocking. Woke up the next morning and couldn't believe it.

Sometimes I'm disappointed he didn't get fired for what we said was happening for years.

But I think this way was better. The nation sees Hugh Freeze as a fraud. Ole Miss people see Hugh Freeze as a fraud.

Had he been canned by the NCAA, people would argue about it.

Nobody is arguing today.

And it's not over. More stuff will likely be exposed from those phone records. Nutt is going in dry and he's not finished.

And boys, the COI hasn't begun to speak. They'll not be impressed that OM clearly didn't monitor Hugh's phone records. Hellloooo failure to monitor. So any idea that the NCAA will be softer because Hugh was fired for an unrelated incident is false.

The witch is dead and her minions are on the chopping block. The NCAA is going to cripple what's left of football and the network is about to be exposed from Roberrson's ethics case.

This multi-angle train wreck exceeds my wildest imagination. And its happening so fast. Don't blink.

who he was portrayed to be, well there's some vindication and it's great. However, I was hoping his demise was connected strictly to the NCAA stuff and the hookers could somehow be connected to his recruiting. Apparently that's not the case according to Rose Bowl, at least not at this point.

Anyone seen the article about how Hugh was so fake that he wasn't even sending out his own messages on twitter? He had someone doing that for him. Wow, what a pretentious SOB.

Agree 100% Todd. I've said it many times in my previous posts to never forget that their cheating-induced success came at our expense (as well as other SEC teams' success). And given that their "BS cheating ways of doing business" got them penalized in the 80s and 90s and now again, I hope the NCAA hammers them into the depths of Hades' and removes them from the field of play.

Vindication feels good. Seeing the plantation burn after their hypocritical, undeserving arrogance--that was built on a facade of lies--came crashing down. The entire fan base was in denial. They were belligerent when you questioned Hugh's moral character. Hateful when you pointed towards their obvious sins. And spiteful in every single opportunity they'v had to hurt a state fan.

Despite that, I hate it for his wife and girls. I hope he makes things right with his children. ALL of them. May be too late to make it right with his wife, but I hope he tries that too. I know jail time could eventually come into the discussion given the situation, but I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that. His hypocrisy has been exposed. It's over.

LOL at everyone who still thinks Freeze was calling hookers for himself. The exposed cheating will be the disgrace. The latest chapter is just going to be another part of it.

Freeze had the unenviable task of deciding to disclose whether the calls were for himself or for recruits. I still think he received an under the table buyout that we will never know about for him to claim personal "sins of the flesh" responsibility in order to cover up the true purpose of the calls.

Yea, the CJ Johnson ordeal still chaps my butt to no end. That was about the most obvious incident of a player being bought off I have ever seen in my life and it was totally obvious when it happened. I'm pissed that none of that actually made the NOA even though it occurred during the Nutt regime.

As much as I dislike Hugh Freeze my ultimate joy is seeing Ole Miss fans get what they deserve. When they would say OUR coach is a man of high character and integrity the insinuation was that Dan Mullen, and other coaches, were not. It was a fruitless argument to get into at the time but now it sure is great to watch this come crashing down on them.
However, the ultimate goal is not yet attained. When their football program is officially hammered to oblivion and I don't have to listen to a Rebel for at least ten years will be my moment of euphoria.

Freeze has a history of womanizing. That's no longer being disputed. Even by Ole Miss fans.

After the underage girls rumors, an illegitimate child rumor, the affairs with women around Oxford rumors, the girl at his church rumor, etc... it may have actually made sense for him to try to find something a little more discreet. I don't doubt he was buying hookers for himself, even though his text to an OM website said otherwise (both parties there would lie without blinking though).

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that hookers are just a part of life at Ole Miss.

Apparently that's not the case according to Rose Bowl, at least not at this point. .

That's not what Steve said. He said the phone records do not show a connection between escorts and recruits. The records he saw show that a phone call was made that could not be explained away as a misdial.

I'm going to say without equivocation that this all too believable story is just too convenient.

Om got its fall guy and he's gone. We are all eating it up because he's an easy person to hate with all the hypocritical bravado. But what another poster referred to as a bad smell is the notion that this rube who pulled all this off for almost 6 years let a phone number slip.

Bull. I don't believe he was never going to make it to the COI.

I smell a rat's nest.
