It's been pretty silent since he announced he was transferring from Texas.

You'd think he'd need to enroll soon.

He's visiting tomorrow, I believe. Coaches will be present.

As long as they're no hiccups expect him in maroon & white.

Getting him would be huge. RT is a scary spot on our team right now because we would likely have to start a RS freshman. We haven't really utilized the grad transfer market too much but if we start using it some we can fill some holes like this.

Can he play though? Not Debbie downer, but is he ready to play in the SEC?
I know we need bodies but a scouting report from someone in the know would be nice

I think he started at Texas.

Well... he claims they wanted him gone.

He did start for Texas last year, but Texas was about as good as Kentucky or South Carolina.

Look, I really want him as well, but I have wondered exactly how good he is.

At least he's played and should be competent at least. That's a step up

I think he lost his starting position, but unless Texas had just a massive deficiency at OT, the fact that he ever started means he'll likely be an upgrade for us.

I think he started at Texas.

Yep, helping to lead the way for D'onta Foreman who was among the top rushers in the country last year.

Competent is all I want out of him. If he turns out to be Orlando Pace 2.0 that's awesome but I'm fine with Charles Siddoway 2.0 too.

Texas wasn't good overall but their offense was very good. They just couldn't stop anybody.

So they were like us?

I don't see any downside in taking him, even if he turns out average. Use as depth and who knows, maybe he's a diamond in the rough.

Exactly. Our OL isn't exactly stacked. I'm pretty confident after reading about Hodges he can definitely help us.

Pretty much. Looked it up and Texas was 16th in total offense last year in FBS.

Meh. That was 5th in the Big 12 with West Virginia coming in at 16th

6 of the top 16 total offense last year were from the Big 12.

He's at least as good as the unused scholarship he will be filling.

This. I can't imagine he's worse than an empty spot.
