If its the one south of you, then thats where I bought my last one too. Good question, I've known some of what he has been doing for 20 years and it hasn't stopped me in the past when my pocketbook was involved but it might going forward.

Bc there are friends and good Bulldogs that work for them, but to know that a part of my bill (MIGHT) go to things more nefarious, gives cause for pause.

I would rather do business with a Bulldog booster than a Rebel booster no matter if the Rebel is involved in cheating or not. If my business enables a Bulldog to donate money to Mississippi State athletics or academics it is good for the school and much better than me helping a Rebel donate money to that shithole in Oxford.

For just paying players? No. Every school has supporters that "help" from time to time (or all the time). The fact that UM decided to be more aggressive in how much they pay doesn't to me distinguish what they do from what supporters at other schools do.

If there was evidence that they were actually involved in trying to harm MSU (paying Devinner, hiring PI's, paying for merry flipmas, etc.) or were involved with or condoned some of the stuff I woudl view as morrally inappropriate (anything looking like providing an escort service to teenagers) then I would avoid doing business with them.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention but that it EXACTLY what these "rogue boosters" have been paying for. It's not just paying players. As you say "everyone" does that. The rub with the NCAA is that they created an unfair recruiting advantage. Whether that was at the end of the recruiting cycle or just paying a 4* WR from Starkville HS not to visit MSU is irrelevant.

Don't forget CJ Johnson's infamous tweet about white girls after committing to OM. Sounds a little morally inappropriate to me. There were also rumors of strippers from Memphis in the sleepy town of Oxford.

Yes. I actually bought a new car in Jackson last week and had the option of doing business with the referenced dealer or another one in the area. I happily took their pricing to one of their competitors and had them match it. That's the beauty of a free market.

When the Check Engine light comes on it's hard to drive right by the dealership I drive by every day and drive 30 miles to the next nearest dealer. I will not be surprised if he is named.

I already have a standing policy that when I have a choice, I don't do business with anyone who attended or calls themselves an OM fan. Even when buying my place on the coast and in Starkville, I made sure that the realtor and the closing attorney did not attend OM. Of the 1,000 or so people I hired over my career, I never hired anyone who attended OM.

I woukd generally agree with this, but them trying to have me fired and getting C34 dropped at SP makes me think differently. They try to bully people, but are mostly unsuccessful because they think they have way more clout than they really do. Either way, they've done evil crap to people just because they wanted to see State tank or don't like someone who's an outspoken state fan. To me that's more than enough to warrant passing them up.

Many of them are crazy and should be shunned. I guess I'm just not convinced that there is a strong correlation between being in that group and being in the group of boosters who have provided "help" to players.

That was my entire point. I would not want to do business with people involved with that. But if they are just giving money? It's just not that big of a deal.

Even if their money is being routed to that stuff, I'm guessing most of them don't believe it. If it weren't for documented cases like at Louisville and Colorado, I would have trouble believing anybody would be involved in something that looks like the sex industry just to win some football games. I would think I was letting my fandom cause me to believe crazy stuff. So I definitely would not judge any ole Miss boosters who just assumed that anything that looked like providing for escorts to high school kids would be so beyond the pale that the rumors of it happening were ridiculous. I'm still hoping they're right and all it takes to excel at recruiting is to just throw money at people and arrange a "normal" college type party where recruits have a good time without doing anything beyond that to encourage hook ups.
