That took down Ole Messus like this, I'd be for putting up a statue and giving him a lifetime contract.

I know this has been said many times but I do recall a forward rebels letter soon after we beat the shit out of MI in the gator bowl.

they went bat shit crazy and collectively decided to take unheard of drastic measures.

so I don't think it is a stretch that Mullen's early success is indeed why it all began.

I believe they also lost 3 games in a row to Mullen. That's why they cheated so badly for the '13 class. So yeah, he's at least indirectly to blame for their "misfortunes".

Forward Rebels definitely started all this shit and Mullen beating OM 3 times in a row and rubbing it in their noses is the reason Forward Rebels got formed.

trying to remember. wasn't the gator bowl win over MI year 2 for Mullen?

I think it would be cool to see that forward rebels letter again. it was filled with bat shit crazy arrogance. would be relevant to to where things are headed these days.

ACTUALLY, the thing that made 'em burn and sting and set 'em on-fiyah to do whatever it took to win was when they showed our celebration in locker-room after the game and Mullen said that "i'm not losing to this team ever again!" it drove 'em CRAZY!!!!!

Still may be one of the best games I remember watching. We dominated fro. The coin toss. Relf had almost a perfect day. I think he had 4 incompletions or something and two were drops and one a hail Mary to end the half. That was our last game of actual tackling I can remember. We need that punch you in the mouth mentality back.

Tackling. We need to get back to that. I'm tried of runners falling forward an extra 4 yards during the "tackle".

Great game and coming off a dominant performance by Relf against OM, we had big expectations the following year... then Relf got his bell rung against Auburn and was never the same after that.

Defense was salty. That wasn't the problem in 2011. The problem was our OL was awful!!!
We should have gone Juco to shore up the OL following 2010 season, having lost multi year starters Sherrod & Brigone. Instead we tried to replace Sherrod with a converted Senior DT, Carmen? forget his name. Game 2 we had a RT injury and then the bottom dropped out when Tobias Smith tore his ACL game 3 vs LSU. We were down to true freshmen starting on the OLine. Never a good thing. Dillon Day was one of them

We actually trailed twice in that game. Michigan scored on their opening drive easily 7-0 and then again led 14-10. Then we scored 42 unanswered points.
