Why are two 1.5 year old tweets considered news?

They are referenced in the lawsuit posted today, and pertain to the phone conversations between Freeze and Wyatt

Yea, I wasn't shocked when I found the Tweet, it made perfect sense.

wonder how difficult it will be to actually prove Freeze KNOWINGLY lied to journalists? I'm thinking not too hard because all they would have to ask him is how did he KNOW most everything being looked at happened 6 + years ago?

lying to the media about someone like that had defamation of character all over it.

I always thought it was Freeze that lied to Wyatt because he was pissed when he found out he had been lied to. If I remember correctly Matt later stated that an Ole Miss coach called him at home to tell him that the current staff didn't figure into the investigation. He didn't mention the name but you could almost tell he was talking about Freeze. Since all this is coming out I would love to hear him publicly admit that it was Freeze that called him.

"Mr. Freeze, since you knowingly informed journalist # 3 with information saying the vast majority of the alleged infractions took place some 6 plus years ago, would you kindly inform the jury of the source of that information you used to inform said journalist?"
