Look at the high school. Beauregard. Very very rural Alabama. They are 5A (Alabama is 7A now for those that don't know), but they are not an easily accessible school. I figure if he stands out and gets his team far in the playoffs, he might pick up a 4th star. But they don't play very good competition in region so that doesn't exactly help.

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not questioning whether or not he can play. Kid is absolutely legit. But he doesn't get the spotlight because of the competition he plays, so I'm saying I'm not surprised he's only a 3 star. If he were in 6A or 7A, he would be getting an insane amount of publicity because he would be playing big time schools. He's not getting that in 5A in Alabama.

And in a way I think that's good he's flying under the radar. If he were at an Auburn, Opelika, Smiths Station, Benjamin Russell, Central Phenix City, or some other big time school in that area, he might be getting a lot more suitors.

If we get him does that mean Howard is OM bound? Or are we taking 2 RBs?

Idk if Howard is a take at OM. They got a JUCO RB and might be full with their lose of scholarships

We're only taking 1. If OM takes Howard he will go there if not I could see him at USM.

I think he will need to get back to get the publicity. 5A unfortunately doesn't get a lot of publicity even though there is top notch football played in many 5A schools in the state. Everything is 6A and 7A driven.

But it's hard to argue that if Bama or Auburn offered that he would be a 4 star. You are probably right on that one. Kid is a legitimate player but only the 24th best player in the state? No way. He's definitely better than that. But the in state RB battle will be for the Mountain Brook kid.

He has some straight nasty runs. That jump cut on the 2nd or 3rd highlight was tough. Multiple runs looked like JRob at UK. He could be Lightning to most of our RBs Thunder.

I also want to add, completely unrelated to Webb, but I believe as far as in state RBs go; Cam Carroll at NW Rankin is the best SR in the state. Kid single handily went through 6A competition with a breeze. I question why Howard over him when it comes to rankings and offers.

Also IYOK is correct if Auburn and Bama both were really after this kid he would be a 4*.
I'm actually little surprised Auburn isn't on him. Bama I can see why they aren't only because of his size.

Yes this kid is the 1, 2, and 3 RB on the big board. Only guy we won't. If we want Howard he would commit yesterday.
And my guess is he ends up at USM or goes out of state.

Never seen him play, have no idea of his skill set, but Barry Switzer said when he was questioned about Joe Washington's height he answered, "The offensive line don't open holes up and down"

Looks like he could handle some carries right now. I love how he jump cuts and moves side to side while maintaining his balance. Also love how he takes the handoff. Looks very fluid and almost pauses for a split second like Leveon Bell. Very nice pickup!

I not only want him at State for what he can do in Mullen's offense but also so we don't have to face him on defense. He has vision, good speed, great balance and tackle breaking ability, jump cutting ability AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HE CAN BLOCK!!!

Strange neither Alabama or Auburn offered him. Guess they figure he is too small for them. I think he can be really good if our OL can open a slight hole for him. He appears to be very quick.
