View Full Version : Where would you assign the MOST blame for the loss?

1) Dan trying to sit on the lead on the run the clock out with a vanilla ground game?

2) Collins using too much prevent at end

3) Bell's FG kicking issues

4) Secondary losing assignments (which might have somewhat led to #2 honestly)

5) Continuous stupid 5 yard penalties in the second half that kept putting us in 2nd and 13

Scared coaching on both sides of the ball when leading.

It's definitely the vanilla approach.

Their vaunted DL had no sacks and only had 3 TFL's. Our defense had 3 sacks and 4 TFL's. Justin Cox slips and they get a freebie on defense. It is really unlucky, but it happened with Jamerson last year at UK. That didn't cost us the game.

For all of the hoo-doo about their offensive coach, they only ran 2 more plays than we did on offense.

1 and 2
Coaching in general. 2nd half coaching was pure pussification. I'm getting laughed at this morning at work. We 17'n suck. 17 you Dan.

6. Auburn scoring on the last drive.

all of the above... plus, 1. Day not snapping the ball when the LB was in the backfield, which would have given us another critical first down. 2.as always, getting 3-4+ ypc, it's 3rd and 3 and you pass into double coverage (yeah, Dak made a TR move) 3. terrible tackling in the first half 4. Auburn had "Bama" luck on a couple critical plays 5. etc., etc.

If you're talking about which one "cost us the MOST" , which I believe was the question....then A is the ONLY answer. And anyone saying otherwise is not paying attention or just wanting to protect Mullen IMO

Simple ..
Play calling in the 4th. You go for the throat when Nickoe picks off that pass at midfield. We score there game over.
And Hack is correct our 3rd down % in the second half. That has been a problem for us for a while now.
I think Dak will make that % go up. Lots more options with him at Qb in those spots..

We have the players. Our defense is playing their ass off and should only get better once the young guys get more reps and we get Redmond back. He will help out there

I'm going with #1. Just take that out of the mix and #2 never has a chance to happen.

If Devon Bell is in uniform Saturday, then our coaches really are morons.
