I watched the 1982 Georgia game and the stands stopped on both the south and north at the goal line. I then watched the 1999 egg bowl and it went to the back of the end zone and is there today. Did they expand the east grand stands. I am not talking upper deck. I know the field has been move around some over the years but the stands look longer now.

By having smart TV with youtube is great for old football games.

Hmm I don't remember them moving them that way. Not saying they did, but I can't remember.

In this photo the 1955 shot seems to show one side ends at the goal line, other side ends at rear of endzone.

The 1955 the east side does look smaller. They must have expanded out the East side lower sometimes between 1982 and 1989. Now they might have moved the field south some.

Two new sections were added onto the east side stands in the expansion back in 1985/86. One on the south end zone and one onto the north end zone to make it symmetrical with the west stands.

This. You can see the difference in the concrete when it's empty.
