In all truth, outside of them doing this to themselves, UGA did this to them. When they snatched Tunsil out from under Mark Richt the President of UGA publicly stated he would exact revenge on Ole Miss. Dr Adams, the UGA pres, then left UGA to take a job in NCAA enforcement. I think it was that, combined with the Forward Rebels campaign. I don't think they get enough credit for getting ole miss where they are today. They pushed out administrators that impeded extreme illegal recruiting and their desire to be relevant in the SEC is going to be their downfall.
