I'm sure at least some of us would like to change the subject after Saturday night, so here it goes.

I saw on twitter where Keegan James hit 93 mph today. Last time I checked, he was mid 80s. What the hell happened? Hopefully that wasn't the Gene Swindoll gun, because that is HUGE improvement on his fastball over a short period of time.

That 2015 class is looking better and better.

Lifting weights is most of it. Leg kick, release point etc improved w practice. These guys are still growing.

Keegan's stats are very misleading from last year. He struggled to start the year, but then he called Butch and he started to make some adjustments and turn it around and finished very strong. No doubt he has continued to develop from that point on, but I think that was the start of the turning point for him.

I'm sure that was his topping out speed. He was probably consistently at 88-91.

I figured he wasn't throwing that hard consistently.

88-91 and topping out at 93 is pretty damn good though for a 16 year who's still got plenty of room to grow and add weight.
