He will be a bulldog even if he's a top 10 pick. Money is no issue.

Then he won't be selected in 1st round. MLB teams don't waste those picks

He's the #2 ranked player in the class of 2021. Obviously that could easily change by the time we get there, but it will be very, very tough to get him on campus.

He will never step foot on a college baseball field to play college baseball.

Because Preacher says he will? due to Preacher's poor prediction record? or do you have an inside scoop?

Sooner or later we need to get someone on the field that turned down 1st round money. others have done so, why not us?

Very few others have done so. It doesn't happen often, at all.

Holy Mother of God

Yea that's insane power for a 14 year old let alone Mark McGwire on enough steroids to kill a horse. 507 ft to dead center. Holy ****ing smokeshow

What's he hitting with and is that a tennis ball or something? Longest MLB homerun this year is 497 by Aaron judge

It's waaaayyyy too soon to declare that he will or won't go in the draft. Most of his classmates haven't even played high school baseball yet.

But yes, the power is real. No question about that.

They're hitting with their own bats, which for kids that age are likely at least -5 and have tons of pop. I saw a video of another kid hitting one like 527. They're not BBCOR or anything. Still insanely impressive, though, for someone that age. He obviously has bonkers power.

I would have to hit it twice after standing at second base to get it that far.

so what's the story on what type of pitching he's faced so far? is he on summer break now waiting on going to the 9th grade? has he faced H.S. pitching yet?

what are the stats? has he been bumped up?

this shit is weird. I'm watching videos and it appears he's kicking the shit out of Jr's and Sr's nation wide on these HR derby's and shit.

what's the scoop?

He plays varsity baseball at Desoto Central which is a 6A school in Mississippi and one of the best high school programs in the state. I think I read where he had 6 home runs for Desoto Central which is a lot for 6A baseball- especially for an 8th grader. He's legit.

so last year as an 8th grader, he was playing with High School Seniors? an 8th grader playing with the High School Big Boys? if so, anybody know about batting avg and other hitting stats?

Yeah- mostly juniors and seniors and probably a few sophomores. And 6A baseball is the best "league" in the state as far as high school baseball goes in general.

Looks like he played in 13 games out of the 31 for the year.
Batted 29 times with 15 hits for a .517 avg.
11 RBI's
2 HR's

Not bad at all considering he still has 4 more years of high school to play.

That's sick as shit for an 8th grader. Never heard of anything like that . Gonna be interesting to see how he develops over the next few years.
