Once the unredacted NOA is released there will be more untrue things to unpack about The Blindside.

I have seen it once, and the story is very moving. However, knowing this movie involves SEC recruiting and, in particular, Ole Miss recruiting, I knew to take the specifics with a grain of salt. T. S. Eliot's quote "between the idea and the reality, between the motion and the act, falls the shadow" comes into play here.

I saw a snippet of it at a friend's house not too long ago. The part with the NCAA investigators is laughable now after the NOAs. They act like the NCAA is just out to get poor Mike Oher and he really just wanted to play ball at the Tuohys' alma mater for all the right rea$ons

Lewis is a great writer. Highly recommend some of his other stuff, especially Moneyball. He also wrote The Big Short.

Michael Lewis was a high school classmate of Sean Tuohy's and Tuohy got Lewis to write the book while it was all still going on. Lewis wrote what Tuohy wanted in the book but probably knows the real story.

Saw it. Actually went to the movies. Heck yeah. All big time movies like this need to be on the big screen. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Blindside, each about as believable as the other.

It was totally incidental that those wealthy, white Ole Miss boosters adopted a five star athlete they saw wondering the streets in Memphis and left his siblings to root hog or die, right?

I'm actually glad they made a movie about Tuohy though because when his name is in the NOA it will make national news that he is a lying cheating sh!tbird. Can you imagine the backlash on Good Morning America when they mention the main inspiration behind that movie has been caught cheating? Oh, and then they politely add that RR is in the process of suing two unemployed SAs at State. Whoopi Goldberg will have fun trashing OM on The View.

That wouldn't have much effect since nobody (or at least no sane person) watches The View ....

To each their own. The point is that a whole different demographic of people will see OM as the cheating POS that they are.
