OOB had a good question this morning on funding for the ole miss defense. For the first NOA, they spent around $1.6 million in attorney costs and now with the second, it's probably doubled. Does anyone know where the funding for that comes from? Is it out of their IHL budget or is it donated funds? If it's IHL funded, there should be oversight on how it's used.

There will never be any oversight on this. IF it was MSU...sure...but not Ole Miss. The state paper won't even cover a major recruiting and academic investigation into the school....you think they would actually dig for this info?? That school is totally covered at the state level by people that they have placed into power. It took an outside, unaffiliated organization (NCAA) to actually do anything and details are STILL redacted.

I have spent time looking through the attached IHL Board minutes.. I see no mention of OM Attorney's (outside) being listed as being paid.... for June 2017, http://www.mississippi.edu/board/downloads/boardbooks/1706.pdf
Someone might want to request through Freedom of Information Act those records.....
