OLE MISS (1994) Illegal football recruiting inducements by coaches and boosters, boosters taking prospects to a strip club and unethical conduct by the head coach. The 1994 probation followed 1986 sanctions on similar grounds. Sanctions: Four years of probation, two-year postseason ban, one-year TV ban, loss of 24 scholarships and reduction of official recruiting visits from 56 to 40.

Seems like a tweet from an OM recruit several years ago.... T. tweeted that he was at a strip club.... OM has someone who is having parties for the recruits and a coach who has the name of a contact for an escort...

Tight ends coach Hugh Freeze, who at the time was director of football operations and did not have recruiting responsibilities, participated in telephone calls with four Memphis-area prospects between Oct. 30 and Nov. 13. The players were declared ineligible on Nov. 29 and reinstated by the NCAA Jan. 24.
