Basically, OM is 1945 Japan, and the NCAA is 1945 America. Japan refused to admit defeat, preached to their citizens that the war was still winnable, and had their soldiers become suicide bombers rather then surrender. Meanwhile, America was plotting how and when to drop the Atom Bomb to put an end to Japan once and for all.
