I think what I read is players get a cut from licensing but it is evenly distributed by the NFL players association. Having more of your jersey sold doesn't make you more money but probably influences other endorsements.

I wonder if the NFL and Cowboys would let us do a maroon version of their helmet and jerseys for a special tribute game to Dak. Pretty sure that jersey combo would be so epic we'd want to use it all the time. Anyone good with photoshop that can change the Cowboys uniform to maroon & white?
